The Youth League Committee of the institute organized a themed Youth League Day titled “Carrying Forward the Spirit of the May Fourth Movement: Embracing Responsibility with Youthful Vigor,” along with a session of in-depth study on youth theory.

To carry forward and promote the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, and to educate and guide young League members in earnestly implementing the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct, fostering a strong sense of responsibility and mission, and dedicating themselves selflessly to the geological sector and to society, the Institute’s Youth League Committee organized a themed Youth League Day event titled “Carrying Forward the Flame of May Fourth: Young People Step Up and Shoulder Responsibility,” along with a session of in-depth theoretical study for youth. Nearly 40 young League members participated through a hybrid format—both in person and online.

Participants collectively studied General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on youth work, as well as the spirit of his reply to the members of the Western Program volunteer teaching team from Xieyite Primary School who are serving on the border. In conjunction with the ongoing campaign to thoroughly implement the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct, and with the “Uphold Discipline, Rectify Atmosphere, Strengthen Immunity” Discipline and Rules Education Month, they delved into relevant sections of the “Outline of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Thoughts on Party Building,” including the chapter titled “Unswervingly Implementing the Spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision.” They also carefully conveyed and studied the Bureau (Group) Party Committee’s Implementation Plan for the Discipline and Rules Education Month.

The meeting called on all League members and young employees—our “vital force” in the development of Shandong Institute—to always bear in mind the spirit of “united, we are a blazing fire; dispersed, we are stars scattered across the sky.” Though each of you may be working at different posts, you must remain loyal to the Party, follow its lead, and keep the Shandong Institute family firmly in your hearts, aligning our thoughts and pooling our efforts. With regard to yourselves, maintain rigorous self‑discipline, strictly observe rules and regulations, cultivate a sense of reverence, remain vigilant, and uphold fundamental principles. In your work, strengthen execution, bravely shoulder responsibilities, act proactively, and make selfless contributions—approaching every task with a sense of responsibility to yourself and to the Institute. Always be mindful of your words and deeds, and through concrete actions and outstanding performance in your roles, serve as ambassadors for the Institute, contributing your youthful energy to the high‑quality development of both the Institute and the nation’s geological sector.

Following the meeting, the Youth League Committee of the institute also organized its members and young staff to attend a thematic lecture titled “Inheriting and Promoting the Fine Work Style and the Spirit of Geological Exploration, Ensuring Its Enduring Legacy,” hosted by the China National Coal Administration.
