In accordance with the overall development strategy of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau, the needs of its talent development program, and our institute’s staffing requirements, our institute has officially launched its 2019 recruitment drive for college graduates. Relevant details are hereby announced as follows:
I. Introduction to the Organization
The Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau (referred to as China Chemical Shandong Institute) was established in 1972. It is affiliated with the China National Coal Geological Bureau, which is under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The institute is a modern, specialized geological exploration entity integrating geological surveying, urban geology, environmental geology, hydrogeology, engineering geology, salt‑well drilling, engineering investigation and construction, as well as geological technology research and promotion. It holds nine Class A qualifications—covering regional geological surveys, liquid mineral exploration, solid mineral exploration, hydrogeological and environmental geological surveys, geochemical exploration, geological drilling, geotechnical engineering investigation, geological hazard risk assessment, and environmental pollution control (ecological restoration)—as well as six Class B qualifications in geophysics, geological laboratory testing (rock and mineral identification, rock and mineral testing, geotechnical testing), surveying and mapping, geological hazard remediation engineering design, geological hazard remediation engineering construction, and geological hazard remediation engineering supervision. In addition, it possesses two national Level II qualifications in building waterproofing engineering and foundation and groundwork engineering. The institute has obtained certification under the three‑standard management system, and its laboratory has passed national-level metrological accreditation. The institute’s headquarters is located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, with six administrative departments and ten production and business units under its umbrella.
Sinochem Shandong Institute adheres to a development strategy of “rooted in Shandong, serving the whole country, and expanding globally.” Its geological services span more than ten provinces and autonomous regions within China and extend to nearly twenty countries overseas. The institute has undertaken over 200 mineral exploration projects, identified more than 60 prospective mineral sites, and delineated over 30 medium- to large-scale deposits and another 30 small-scale deposits, covering more than 20 mineral types. It boasts extensive expertise in iron ores, gold ores, and non‑ferrous polymetallic ores; rock salt, potash, phosphate, limestone, bentonite, fluorite, and other non‑metallic minerals; as well as unconventional energy resources such as geothermal and shallow‑ground thermal energy. All the mineral deposits discovered have been successfully developed and utilized, yielding significant economic and social benefits.
Looking ahead to the new era, Sinochem Shandong Institute will integrate itself into reform and development with an even higher vision, a broader perspective, and an open-minded spirit. It will progressively forge a comprehensive industrial framework: with geological exploration as its core business, urban geology and environmental geology as key pillars of support, salt‑well drilling as its competitive advantage, engineering investigation and construction as growth drivers, overseas geology as its distinctive brand, and mineral resource development as the engine of growth. With an attitude of greater inclusiveness and mutual benefit, the Institute will actively cultivate strategic partnerships based on cooperation and shared success.
Sinochem Shandong Institute warmly welcomes the 2019 graduating college students to join us and build a bright future together!
