From May 22 to 23, Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman (Director) of the General Administration, visited Zibo, Shandong, for talks and exchanges and conducted a field inspection and work guidance at our institute. Assistant Director Tian Li, together with responsible officials from relevant departments at the Administration’s headquarters, accompanied him during these activities.
On the 22nd, Shang Honglin and his delegation met with Jiang Duntao, Secretary of the Zibo Municipal Party Committee, Song Zhenbo, a member of the Municipal Party Standing Committee and Vice Mayor, and other relevant government officials. They held discussions on collaborative initiatives including comprehensive land remediation, disaster management, environmental restoration of abandoned mines, and the treatment of soil and groundwater contamination. Both sides expressed their intention to strengthen communication and coordination going forward, leveraging the state‑owned enterprise advantages of Sinochem’s Mining Bureau in technology, capital, and human resources to provide intellectual and technical support for Zibo’s comprehensive land improvement, ecological restoration of abandoned mines, and geological hazard assessment, thereby contributing to the city’s ecological restoration and high‑quality transformation and development, and achieving a harmonious integration of social, economic, and ecological benefits. During the talks, accompanied by relevant leaders from the Zibo Municipal Government, Shang Honglin conducted on‑site inspections at the Yellow River floodplain relocation project in Changjia Town, Gaoqing County; the Jiudingshan ecological restoration project in the High‑Tech Zone; the Longwan Community in Muli Town; and the Deyi Agricultural and Pastoral Town, among other locations.
On the 23rd, Shang Honglin visited our institute to conduct a work inspection and guidance tour, convened a symposium, and listened to reports on the institute’s production, operations, and Party‑building efforts, while setting forth specific requirements for the next phase of work. After hearing briefings from the institute’s principal Party and administrative leaders, Shang Honglin commended the institute’s recent performance and articulated clear expectations for its future endeavors. First, strengthen political development within the institute and promote the seamless integration of Party‑building with production and operations. Firmly uphold political awareness and a sense of the bigger picture, and earnestly fulfill the central enterprise’s political, social, and economic responsibilities. Second, conduct a thorough analysis of the current situation to ensure that epidemic prevention and control measures do not compromise production or business operations. Adopt a goal‑oriented approach and innovative thinking, and effectively implement the 14th Five-Year Plan. Third, further intensify market expansion, cultivate a robust marketing culture, and innovate marketing mechanisms. Clearly define departmental roles and responsibilities, and adjust management processes in response to market dynamics. Fourth, enhance the day-to-day education and management of Party members, fostering a learning‑oriented Party organization. Leverage the exemplary and leading role of Party members, using their achievements in production and operations, as well as their performance during critical moments, to assess and reinforce their advanced character. Fifth, strengthen corporate cultural development and strive to become a model unit for spiritual civilization. Cultivate a strong sense of brand identity as a central enterprise and substantially enhance the company’s soft power.
Relevant officials from the Bureau’s Geological Science and Technology Department, Market Development Division, Planning and Development Department, General Office, Sinochem Mingda Fund Company, and Sinochem Mingda Digital Technology Company provided guidance on matters including overseas projects, scientific and technological work, the Heze land‑consolidation project, laboratory and qualification development, and digital technologies. Nearly 30 participants, including the institute’s leadership team, the chief engineer, heads of various departments, and representatives of the Party branch secretaries, attended the symposium.
