On August 13, a delegation of 15 members, including Wan Jihé, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, visited the project area of the Chongbenzhuang Industrial and Mining Abandoned Land Reclamation and Utilization Project in Longting Town, Xintai City, which our institute has undertaken, for inspection and exchange. They were accompanied by Zhang Jiaqi, Chief of the Territorial Space Ecological Restoration Section of the Tai’an Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning; Li Guangrong, Party Secretary of the Xintai Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning; Gao Xiangzuo, Deputy Director; and Wu Shumeng, Director of the Tai’an Geological Branch of our institute.
During the on-site inspection, Wan Jihé and his delegation commended our institute’s Chongbenzhuang industrial and mining wasteland remediation project, fully recognizing the comprehensive management approach—combining the reclamation of abandoned industrial and mining sites with the restoration of damaged mountain slopes—which has achieved simultaneous improvements in mountain restoration, pollution control, greening, and land preparation.
Wu Shumeng, Director of the Tai’an Geological Branch of our institute, welcomed the visit of Wan Jihé and his delegation and provided an overview of our institute’s operations. Following the exchange, both sides expressed their strong willingness to collaborate in areas such as geological environmental remediation going forward.
