On August 11, the Party Committee of the institute convened its sixth meeting of the Theoretical Study Center Group, focusing on the newly revised Regulations on Electoral Work of Primary-Level Party Organizations of the Communist Party of China, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s address at the symposium with entrepreneurs, and the passage from Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume III) in which he delivered a speech at the National Conference on Propaganda and Ideological Work—“Consciously Shouldering the Mission and Tasks of Propaganda and Ideological Work in the New Era.” Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President, delivered a keynote address, and the participants engaged in discussions and exchanges on the topics covered.
The meeting noted that, in the first half of the year, the COVID‑19 pandemic had a significant impact on China’s economy. Particularly amid the current complex international political and economic landscape, it is imperative that we elevate our political awareness, firmly uphold the “Four Consciousnesses,” strengthen our “Four Confidences,” and resolutely safeguard the “Two Upholds.” We must earnestly fulfill the political, economic, and social responsibilities of central state-owned enterprises, courageously assume our duties, and deliver concrete results through diligent and pragmatic efforts, thereby continuing to strive for the successful completion of the year’s goals and tasks.
The meeting called for a thorough study of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s address at the symposium on entrepreneurs, actively promoting and practicing the entrepreneurial spirit, and inspiring all staff members to align their thinking, pool their wisdom, and unite their efforts, so as to continuously enhance our strengths, consolidate our position, and expand our scale. In strict accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on Electoral Work of Primary-Level Party Organizations of the Communist Party of China, we must select and appoint an outstanding and capable branch committee, strengthen the cohesion and combat effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations, and use high‑quality Party building to drive high‑quality development. We must intensify ideological and publicity work, conscientiously shouldering the mission of upholding the banner, rallying the people, cultivating new talent, revitalizing culture, and projecting a positive image. We will enrich our publicity platforms and methods, organize activities that are popular and well‑received by our employees, tell the story of Sinochem Shandong Institute in compelling ways, enhance our soft power and industry influence, and demonstrate the standard and demeanor befitting our institution. Furthermore, we must strengthen the development of a learning‑oriented Party organization. Institute leaders should proactively participate in branch activities, observe dual‑track organizational life, and deepen their study of works such as “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, Volume III.” They should take the lead in truly studying, understanding, believing in, and applying these ideas, effectively using Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to fortify their minds, guide practice, and advance our work, thereby elevating all aspects of our institute’s operations to a new level.
