Since the onset of summer, leaders of the institute, the trade union, and representatives from the Safety and Environmental Protection Department have visited Hubei’s Yingcheng, as well as Jinan, Tai’an, Jining, Laiwu, and other regions. They went directly to frontline field projects, carrying out a series of outreach activities under the theme “Bringing Coolness, Supporting Epidemic Prevention, Warming Hearts, and Striving for Excellence,” combined with comprehensive safety inspections. These efforts included distributing financial allowances and thoughtful, practical heat‑relief supplies to workers on high‑temperature jobs, effectively ensuring labor protection during hot weather, promptly identifying and rectifying potential safety hazards, and gaining a deeper understanding of employees’ needs and concerns in both their work and daily lives. Through concrete actions—providing cooling relief, offering heartfelt support, and promoting workplace safety—the institute has demonstrated genuine care for frontline staff, thereby safeguarding their physical health and personal safety.
On June 24, Zhang Shuqi, Vice President and Chief Safety Officer of our institute, along with Sun Xinyong, Vice President and head of the trade union, and other members of the delegation, visited the “Shandong Province 1:50,000 Zhi’gou–Zhucheng Regional Mineral Geological Survey” project in Zhucheng, Shandong, to extend condolences to frontline workers and conduct a safety inspection.

On September 4, Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Diao Haizhong, Vice Dean and Chief Safety Officer Zhang Shuqi, along with other members of the delegation, visited the “Taian City Daiyue District Abandoned Mine Ecological Restoration Project” to extend condolences to frontline workers and conduct a safety inspection.
On the same day, Vice President and Safety Director Zhang Shuqi led a team to the “Shandong Huajin Building Materials Co., Ltd. Geological Environment Remediation Project for Limestone Quarry Used in Construction Materials,” where he extended condolences to frontline workers and conducted a safety inspection.
Through several months of “Cooling‑Down” outreach and safety‑inspection activities, our institute conducted inspections and visits at nine field project sites both within and outside the province. These efforts enabled us to promptly assess project progress and on‑site safety conditions, further strengthening frontline workers’ awareness of workplace safety. By delivering cooling supplies and expressing heartfelt condolences, and engaging in face‑to‑face conversations with staff, we gained a more nuanced understanding of their working and living conditions, their mental state, and their specific needs and aspirations. We wholeheartedly recognized and commended their sense of responsibility and dedication in braving extreme heat and enduring grueling conditions, ensuring that frontline employees felt the organization’s care and support. This has boosted morale, reinvigorated their enthusiasm, and reinforced their confidence. All participants pledged to devote themselves fully to advancing project work, striving to secure a dual victory: successfully containing the epidemic and achieving the year’s production and operational targets.
