From October 23 to 25, the Tai’an Geological Branch successfully completed a third-party assessment project for the green mine construction of three rock-salt mines in Feicheng City.
To ensure that the assessment process is fair, impartial, transparent, and reasonable, the Tai’an Geological Branch drew five experts from the Shandong Province Green Mine Construction Expert Pool—covering such fields as geology, mining, mineral processing, and ecological environment—to form a third-party expert panel for green mine evaluation. In accordance with the requirements of the “Green Mine Construction Evaluation Indicators” (Natural Resources Mining Protection Letter [2020] No. 28), the panel conducted item-by-item scoring across six key areas: mine‑site environment, resource development practices, comprehensive resource utilization, energy conservation and emissions reduction, scientific and technological innovation and smart mining, as well as corporate management and corporate image. Following preliminary reviews, document examinations, and on-site inspections of the green mine construction status at three rock‑salt mines, all three projects were approved by the expert panel upon review and acceptance.
This assessment marks the first time Taian City has commissioned a third-party evaluation of rock-salt mines for green‑mine development. Our institute’s fair, impartial, transparent, and well‑reasoned approach earned unanimous praise from the leadership of both the Taian Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning and the Feicheng Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning.
Going forward, our institute will take this as an opportunity to continue leveraging the vital role of geological work in supporting local ecological civilization development, thereby contributing to the advancement of green mine construction in Tai’an City.
