On November 27, the Party Committee of the institute convened a work‑progress meeting on the “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” thematic education campaign, along with a symposium for branch secretaries. The meeting was chaired by Wang Qingfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (who also oversees the committee’s work) and Vice President, and was attended by all members of the office of the institute’s thematic education working group.
The meeting began with Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, conveying the spirit of two notices issued by the Organization Department of the Bureau’s Party Committee: one from the Leading Group for the “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” Thematic Education Campaign at the Central Level, calling for earnest study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee during the second phase of the campaign; and the other urging grassroots Party organizations in units participating in the second phase to convene special organizational life meetings and carry out democratic evaluations of Party members. The Party Committee Office then communicated the “Plan for Establishing Model Posts for Party Members” issued by the Bureau’s Party Committee, and instructed all Party branches to effectively disseminate and implement the会议精神, make thorough preparations for the organizational life meetings and democratic evaluations, and advance the work of establishing model posts for Party members. The Party Committee Office also reviewed the work manuals of each branch and the thematic education study notebooks of their respective secretaries.
Based on the discussions among all participants, Wang Qingfeng first commended the Party members of each branch for their achievements in advancing Party building while diligently fulfilling production and business objectives. He emphasized that all Party branches should press ahead with renewed vigor, further elevating their strategic perspective and ideological awareness, and strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission in carrying out Party‑building work. It is essential to deeply recognize the importance and urgency of reinforcing Party building under the new circumstances, and to ensure the effective implementation of all tasks and work arrangements set forth by higher‑level Party committees. Moreover, efforts should be redoubled to innovate working methods and enhance the capacity of Party building to support production and operations. The Institute’s Party Committee will continue to adopt both “bringing in” and “going out” approaches, intensifying training for Party affairs cadres and strengthening the evaluation of Party‑building work through initiatives such as organizing a series of “Knowledge Lecture Halls,” compiling and disseminating the “Party‑Building Briefing,” and exploring the introduction of a points‑based system for Party‑building performance. These measures aim to address the issues of “unwillingness to act, inability to act, and poor execution.” Close attention must be paid to key timelines to ensure the thorough implementation of all tasks related to thematic education. Through activities such as establishing “Model Posts for Party Members,” the Party‑building work should continually enrich its platforms and content, bolstering the appeal and impact of study and education, and driving concrete, tangible results across all areas of work.
