The Group convened a meeting to review the 2020 annual performance against set targets and to launch a mobilization campaign to accelerate progress toward its ambitious goals.


To comprehensively fulfill the 2020 operational target assignments set by the China National Bureau of Coal Geology, vigorously strive to achieve the year’s strategic goals, and simultaneously lay a solid foundation for the 2021 operational planning, the Group convened, on December 9 and 10 via WeChat Work, a meeting to review the year‑long progress in achieving 2020 operational targets and to launch a mobilization and deployment effort to sprint toward the year’s objectives. The meeting was chaired by Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group.

The chief administrative officers of the Group’s 24 assessed units reported on the progress made in achieving the 2020 operating performance indicators for the period January–November. Their reports focused on the development of the marketing system, the advancement of major projects, the implementation of measures to reduce “two types of receivables,” the restructuring of loss-making enterprises, and the settlement of outstanding payments owed to private enterprises and overdue wages of migrant workers. They also analyzed existing challenges, formulated actionable plans to ensure target completion, projected the full-year performance of key operating metrics, and provided preliminary estimates for 2021’s major performance indicators, including “two profits and three ratios.”

Shang Honglin provided a detailed, item-by-item review of the reports submitted by the 24 assessed units, commending their achievements while offering solutions and strategic recommendations to address existing challenges and identify priority areas for future development. At the same time, he issued a total of 24 work directives to the Group’s various functional departments, emphasizing the timely completion of key task assessments. Other leaders of the Group also set forth specific requirements for priority initiatives in 2020 across such areas as market operations, finance, investment, and geology.

A total of 242 individuals, including the group’s leadership and senior executives, heads of relevant departments, and heads of directly affiliated units along with heads of related divisions, attended the meeting.
