The Party Committee of Shandong Institute convened a summary meeting on the thematic education campaign titled “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind.”

On December 20, the Party Committee of the Institute convened a summary meeting on the thematic education campaign “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind,” chaired by Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection. First, Yang Cheng reported on the preparations for and the convening of the Institute’s special democratic life meeting on this theme. Wang Qingfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (in charge of Party work) and Vice President, reviewed and summarized the implementation of the thematic education campaign at the Shandong Institute and set forth requirements for consolidating and expanding its achievements and ensuring the effective follow-up implementation of corrective measures. More than 50 participants attended the meeting, including institute leaders, mid-level and above cadres, Party members, and employee representatives.

Yang Cheng briefed the attendees on the preparations for the democratic life meeting, as well as on the issues identified and analyzed during the meeting and the mutual criticisms exchanged. He emphasized the key points of Deputy Secretary Wang Wei’s address at the meeting and urged all participants to earnestly implement the four requirements and four recommendations put forward by Deputy Secretary Wang Wei, unite as one, and ensure the successful completion of 2019’s final tasks while carefully planning for all aspects of 2020.

Wang Qingfeng pointed out that, by staying focused on goal‑oriented objectives, the institute’s thematic education campaign has yielded a series of tangible results. Participants have reaped substantial gains in theoretical study, undergone profound ideological and political cleansing, demonstrated greater courage in taking responsibility for work and entrepreneurship, become more proactive in serving the people, and strengthened their commitment to integrity and clean governance. The initiative has also addressed a number of practical issues that are of greatest concern, most immediate relevance, and most pressing to staff and the public. He emphasized that the institute’s thematic education has showcased distinctive strengths, achieving notable success in high‑quality mobilization and planning, study and discussion, publicity and guidance, investigative research, specialized Party lectures, targeted rectification, problem identification, special democratic life meetings and organizational activities, as well as evaluation and summarization. He called for sustained efforts to strengthen Party building and corporate culture with a sense of unwavering commitment; to dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to work and entrepreneurship with the sense of mission to deliver a strong start; and to advance disciplinary development with rigorous discipline and strict adherence to principles. He urged the gradual establishment of institutional mechanisms that uphold the spirit of “remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind,” codifying and sustaining the valuable experiences, effective practices, and positive outcomes of the thematic education. By transforming these lessons into formal systems and turning exemplary models into standardized norms, we should strive to foster a vibrant atmosphere of emulation, learning, and striving for excellence.
