　　On December 17, our institute convened a symposium on the analysis and study of Party building and ideological work for 2020. The meeting was chaired by Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President, and was attended by nearly 20 participants, including members of the Institute’s Party Committee, the Chief Engineer, the Assistant to the President, secretaries and committee members of all Party branches, as well as staff from the Party affairs department.

　　This symposium on Party building and ideological work also served as a meeting of branch secretaries convened following the recent branch leadership transition. Its purpose was to gain an in-depth understanding of the status of Party building and ideological work across all branches after the transition, to analyze and address existing problems and shortcomings, and to outline the tasks for the next phase of Party‑building efforts.
　　At the meeting, Wang Qingfeng, drawing on the relevant requirements of the “Detailed Rules for Implementing the Party Committee of the General Administration’s Responsibility System for Ideological Work (Trial),” delivered a presentation titled “The Guiding Program for the Party’s Ideological Work in the New Era—In-Depth Study and Thorough Implementation of Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions on Ideological Work.” He led participants through key topics, including “Several Fundamental Aspects of Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions on Ideological Work” and “Key Issues of Understanding That Must Be Clarified to Fully Implement Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions on Ideological Work.”

　　The meeting emphasized the following points: First, we must thoroughly study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on ideological work, strengthen our sense of vigilance over ideological frontlines, and earnestly implement the responsibility system for ideological work. Leading members of the institute should, in accordance with requirements, make the status of ideological work a key component of their performance reports, assessments, and annual democratic life meetings. Second, we must do a good job in publicity and ideological work, guide everyone to forge firm ideals and convictions, uphold the correct orientation of public opinion, and foster a clean and upright environment conducive to getting things done. Third, we should be adept at applying the Marxist perspectives—on practice, the masses, class, development, and contradiction—to analyze and address issues, thereby contributing our part to winning the “ideological battle” of the new era.

　　The secretaries of each Party branch reported on their branch’s Party-building work and the shortcomings identified, while the head of the Party Committee Office presented an overview of the year-end assessment process and the general plan for next year’s Party-building initiatives. The hospital leadership then offered their comments and emphasized the need to carry out the following tasks:
　　First, we must raise our awareness, fulfill our duties conscientiously, and ensure the effective implementation of all Party-building tasks. We need to further strengthen our sense of responsibility as principal actors, continuously advance the standardization and regularization of Party-building work, maintain thorough records, establish robust ledgers, and deliver tangible results.

　　Second, we must innovate our approaches, diversify our formats, and ensure the effective implementation of systems such as the “Three Meetings and One Lesson” and “Thematic Party Day.” Following the renewal of branch committees, each party branch has strengthened its cadre capacity. The branch leadership should, in light of the specific characteristics of their respective departments, further enhance party building and ideological work, thereby boosting the participation of all party members in party‑mass activities and increasing their sense of fulfillment.

　　Third, we must stay focused on the core mission, support business operations, and strengthen corporate culture. We need to fully leverage the Party organization’s role in setting direction, overseeing the big picture, and ensuring effective implementation, thereby uniting people’s hearts and pooling strengths, promoting the seamless integration of Party building with production and operations, and helping to achieve all annual goals and tasks. At the same time, we must intensify efforts to foster spiritual civilization and work diligently to ensure that Sinochem Mingda’s core values are firmly established, meticulously implemented, and put into practice.
