On December 22, our institute was approved by the Shandong Provincial Emergency Management Department as a Level‑2 standardized unit for work safety (Shandong Provincial Emergency Management Department Announcement [No. 23 of 2020]).
Since June 2019, our institute has initiated preparatory work for this safety standardization project and formulated the “Safety Production Management Standard of Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau.” The management standard encompasses 13 elements: objectives and plans, organizational structure and responsibilities, laws and regulations, safety management systems and record-keeping, safety investment, risk management, safety education and training, production equipment and facilities, safety in geological exploration operations, safety inspections and hazard remediation, occupational health, emergency rescue, accident reporting, investigation and handling, as well as performance evaluation and continuous improvement. In addition, we have refined all relevant record forms, ensured proper documentation in accordance with the operational standards, and successfully passed an expert review in March 2020, achieving a score of 83.5 points—meeting the Level II standard (75–90 points).
Our hospital will take this opportunity of achieving standardization compliance to, in accordance with the comments and recommendations put forward during the evaluation and assessment, thoroughly analyze and address each identified issue and shortcoming, thereby continuously enhancing our safety management capabilities and elevating the overall level of workplace safety.
