The Group (Bureau) Commission for Discipline Inspection convened the 2020 annual performance and integrity review meeting for the secretaries of discipline inspection commissions of its directly affiliated units.

On the morning of January 22, 2021, the Group (Bureau) Commission for Discipline Inspection convened a review and evaluation meeting on the performance and integrity reports of the secretaries of discipline inspection commissions of its directly affiliated units for 2020, listening to their annual reports on disciplinary inspection work and conducting assessments and evaluations. Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the General Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a concluding address.
At the meeting, the secretaries of discipline inspection commissions from 15 directly affiliated units each delivered a work report. Members of the assessment panel, adopting a highly responsible, objective, impartial, and fact-based approach, carefully listened to the reports and, in accordance with the evaluation and assessment criteria for performance of duties, assigned scores based on both the reports and the individuals’ day-to-day work performance.
During their performance reports, the discipline inspection commission secretaries of each unit consistently placed themselves, their responsibilities, and their work squarely at the center of the discussion, providing a comprehensive account of their unit’s disciplinary inspection activities for 2020 as well as their own performance in fulfilling their duties and reporting on integrity. They also conducted a thorough analysis of existing problems and shortcomings, along with outlining plans for the next phase of their work.
After listening to the reports, Wang Yong offered comments, drawing on the performance reviews and notable achievements of the discipline inspection commissions at each unit. He noted that over the past year, these commissions have remained steadfast in their ideals and convictions, firmly committed to their duties and missions, shouldered heavy responsibilities, and fulfilled their tasks with diligence, thereby making significant contributions to ensuring the Group’s (Bureau’s) steady yet progressive economic performance and the high‑quality development of its core work. At the same time, he identified certain problems and shortcomings among grassroots units—based on issues raised in inspection and巡察 feedback, as well as substantiated cases from letters and visits—and analyzed their root causes. He urged the discipline inspection commission secretaries of all units to make improvements in four key areas: ideological awareness, role definition, working methods, and capacity for performing their duties.
Wang Yong urged that the discipline inspection commissions of all units, in accordance with the spirit of Comrade Shang Honglin’s address at the Group (Bureau) 2021 Work Conference and the assessment meeting on Party organization secretaries’ efforts to strengthen grassroots Party building, resolutely implement the Party Committee’s decisions and arrangements, serve as effective advisors and assistants to the Party Committee, and put forward four key points: first, continue to strengthen study of political theory; second, maintain firm political resolve and steadfastly uphold one’s duties and responsibilities; third, focus on core responsibilities and primary tasks while transforming working methods; and fourth, reinforce team building and improve work style.
This performance and integrity review was conducted via video conference, with a total of 64 participants, including members of the Group (Bureau) Commission for Discipline Inspection, all staff of its internal disciplinary inspection bodies, secretaries and members of the discipline inspection commissions of directly affiliated units, and discipline inspection personnel. Heads of Party organizations in units without established discipline inspection commissions, along with relevant discipline inspection personnel, attended the meeting as observers.
