On January 20, the project team of our Group (Bureau) for the Comprehensive Ecological and Environmental Remediation of the Muli Mining Area in Qinghai successfully completed its 2020 objectives, and the final batch of personnel returned to Beijing. The Group (Bureau) held a welcoming ceremony to mark the triumphant return of the project team members. The symposium was chaired by Wang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and concluded with a summary address delivered by Shang Honglin, Chairman, Party Secretary, and Director of the Bureau.

At the meeting, Liu Xingwang, General Manager, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director, read out the “Decision of the Ecological and Environmental Comprehensive Remediation Command Headquarters for the Muli Area in Tianjun County, Qinghai Province, under the China National Bureau of Coal Geology, on Commending the Advanced Collectives and Outstanding Workers of the 2020 Muli Project.” Tian Li, Chief Commander of the Group’s (Bureau’s) Muli Project Team and Deputy Director, provided an overview of the project’s overall implementation. Meanwhile, Tian Wenbin, head of Pit No. 3, gave a detailed report on how the project team, taking into account site conditions, pit slope, soil hardness, and other factors, scientifically adjusted its construction plan to ensure the timely and high‑quality completion of all objectives before reaching the deep permafrost layer. Project team members then introduced themselves one by one, sharing their experiences and impressions of working and living in Muli. They unanimously expressed that this experience would remain unforgettable, noting that the Muli project had not only honed their skills but also deeply moved them.

Shang Honglin commended his colleagues for demonstrating an extraordinary spirit of resilience, endurance, tenacity, and dedication during construction, as well as for achieving outstanding results in the project’s acceptance despite formidable challenges. He emphasized that the Qinghai Muli Project is the largest high-altitude ecological restoration undertaking undertaken by our Group (Bureau), setting new historical records in terms of construction conditions, the age profile of the team, the quality of project outcomes, and per‑capita output value, thereby marking a milestone in our Group’s (Bureau’s) efforts to advance ecological and environmental restoration.

Shang Honglin stated that this project comprehensively embodies our Group’s (Bureau’s) core values of “Customer First, Talent‑Driven, Technology‑Led, and a Spirit of Craftsmanship,” and that all members of the project team have put into practice our Group’s (Bureau’s) mission to “safeguard the security of the nation’s strategic mineral resources and ecological environment.”
Shang Honglin emphasized the need to thoroughly summarize the technical approaches and management practices of the Muli Project in Qinghai, developing replicable solutions; to distill the “Muli Spirit” and vigorously promote the project team’s admirable qualities of tenacious perseverance and a willingness to make selfless contributions; and to strengthen support for young employees while expanding avenues for their professional development. He encouraged all members of the project team to press ahead with renewed vigor, striving tirelessly to build our Group (Bureau) into an industry‑leading enterprise in resource development and ecological‑environmental conservation.

The project team members expressed their gratitude to the leadership for their trust, care, and recognition. As the Group’s (Bureau’s) first youth commando unit, they pledged to uphold the banner of youthful vanguard, strive with determination, live up to their mission, and successfully complete the project’s objectives.
The group’s (bureau’s) leadership team in Beijing, senior executives, chief experts, heads of the various departments at group headquarters, and the head of Mingda Ocean Co., Ltd. attended the symposium.
