On February 21, Wei Yujiao, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Zibo High-tech Zone, led a delegation to China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau for an exchange and symposium.
General Manager, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director Liu Xingwang welcomed the visit of Wei Yujiao and his delegation, and provided a detailed overview of the Group (Bureau)’s basic profile, core business lines, and development plans.
Wei Yujiao outlined the key features of Zibo High-tech Zone, emphasizing that, under the “dual attraction” institutional framework, the zone places a strong emphasis on market‑driven investment promotion, focuses on pillar industries, and works to elevate the sophistication of its industrial chains. The zone will firmly uphold a clear orientation centered on projects, concentrating its efforts on attracting investment, facilitating project implementation, and accelerating progress.
The two sides engaged in thorough discussions on matters such as selenium-rich land certification, comprehensive land remediation across entire regions, and ecological restoration of mining areas. Also invited to the symposium were Professor Gai Guosheng from the School of Materials Science at Tsinghua University and Dong Fengliang, Director of the Center for Ecological Agriculture Development at the Tsinghua Institute for Development.
Heads of the Market Development Division, the Planning and Development Department, and the fund management company, along with relevant staff members, attended the symposium.
