Recently, Party Secretary and Vice President Wang Qingfeng led a delegation to Hubei to conduct field research and extend condolences to frontline employees. During the visit, he paid courtesy calls on Deng Daowei, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xiaogan Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, and on Wang Fei, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment. He also traveled to Yingcheng City to hold a symposium with Xu Ming, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and Director of the Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning. Party Committee Member and Vice President Zhang Shuqi, as well as Party Committee Member, Vice President, and Trade Union Chairman Sun Xinyong, attended the symposium.
Wang Qingfeng began by outlining the institute’s basic profile and its key competitive advantages, expressing gratitude for the support of relevant government departments. He stated his hope to leverage the unique strengths of a central state‑owned enterprise, relying on the Yanjing Branch Institute, to contribute to ecological civilization development in Xiaogan City and Yingcheng City, thereby fulfilling the company’s political, economic, and social responsibilities.
Deng Daowei pointed out that Xiaogan is rich in geological and mineral resources, earning it the nicknames “Capital of Gao” and “Sea of Salt.” He expressed the hope that Shandong Institute would fully leverage its strengths, strengthen coordination with relevant departments, and intensify its efforts on the basis of existing work, thereby making new contributions to Xiaogan’s economic and social development.
Xu Ming welcomed the visit of the delegation from our institute and outlined Yingcheng City’s four major categories of geological‑related needs. He expressed hope that Shandong Institute would leverage its strengths in human resources and technology to pursue cooperation in areas such as geothermal resource development, saline‑alkali land remediation, and green mine construction, thereby providing technical support for Yingcheng City’s geological work and fostering mutually beneficial collaboration.
During the field visit, the institute’s leadership went to the project site to conduct an inspection and offer words of encouragement, and on behalf of the trade union, presented慰问 items. After hearing a work report from the head of the Yanjing Branch, the institute’s leaders provided feedback, urging the branch to strengthen learning and effectively carry out Party history study and education; to enhance its market awareness and expand into the Hubei geological market; to raise its level of awareness and intensify efforts to recover outstanding receivables; and to better integrate Party building with production and business operations, thereby boosting employee engagement and sense of fulfillment. Meanwhile, the institute’s leadership joined the project’s Party members in studying relevant chapters from collections such as “Selected Excerpts from the Statements of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, and Hu Jintao on the History of the Communist Party of China,” as well as Comrade Xi Jinping’s book “On the History of the Communist Party of China.”
During their stay in Hubei, the institute’s leadership also paid a visit to Sinochem Hubei Institute for discussions and exchanges. The two sides engaged in in-depth dialogue on topics including Party building, corporate reform, talent recruitment, and applications for high-tech enterprise status, and held talks with responsible officials from relevant salt-mining enterprises. Zhang Bingbing, Director of the Yanjing Branch Institute, and Shi Yiyuan, Deputy Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department, accompanied the delegation on these fact-finding visits.
