On April 26, Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and Director of the Group (Bureau), paid a visit to Suqian, where he met with Wang Hao, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress. The two sides held talks and jointly witnessed the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Sinochem Mingda Fund Management Co., Ltd. and the Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Wang Hao extended a warm welcome to Shang Honglin and his delegation, and provided a brief overview of Suqian’s economic and industrial development. He noted that in recent years, Suqian has experienced rapid economic growth. While pursuing its vision of becoming “Jiangsu’s Ecological Grand Park,” the city has steadfastly adhered to the business‑friendly principle of “responding promptly to every request, refraining from unnecessary interference, and honoring every commitment,” thereby delivering effective support to enterprises and fostering a high‑quality business environment. As Suqian’s economy continues to expand, the city is aligning with the national strategy of achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality, vigorously cultivating the new‑energy sector, and striving to establish itself as a national manufacturing hub for photovoltaics—earning the nickname “the Capital of Photovoltaics.” Wang Hao expressed his hope that both sides will further strengthen communication and exchanges, deepen cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits, thus contributing to the development of Suqian’s new‑energy industry into a multi‑hundred‑billion‑yuan‑scale sector.
Shang Honglin expressed his appreciation for the remarkable achievements made in Suqian’s economic and social development, and briefly outlined the work and accomplishments of the Group (Bureau) in national chemical and mineral industries as well as in ecological civilization construction. In particular, he highlighted the company’s proactive economic transformation in recent years, which has gradually established an industrial system characterized by “one foundation, three pillars, and two integrations.” Shang Honglin also extended his gratitude to the Suqian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their strong support. As a central state‑owned enterprise, Sinochem Mingda places political and social responsibilities at the forefront, seizing the opportunities presented by the national new‑energy policy and the mutual development of the new‑energy sector to actively contribute to Suqian’s economic growth and leverage the strengths of a central state‑owned enterprise. This strategic cooperation agreement between the Sinochem Mingda Fund and the Suqian Economic Development Zone will further enhance coordination and communication between the two parties, accelerate the implementation of photovoltaic and other new‑energy projects, and foster mutually beneficial outcomes.
Subsequently, a signing ceremony was held, during which Tao Qiping, Chairman of the Group’s fund company, and Wang Depeng, Director of the Suqian Economic Development Zone Management Committee, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Sinochem Mingda Fund will jointly establish a new‑energy industry fund with the Suqian Economic Development Zone, with the fund primarily investing in photovoltaic cell and module projects within the new‑energy sector.
Zhang Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Suqian Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Economic Development Zone, along with relevant leaders from the Party Working Committee, the Management Committee, and the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Suqian Economic Development Zone; Jiao Sen, Chief Engineer of the Group (Bureau), Yu Yuejin, Chief Investment Advisor, and relevant leaders from the Fund Company, Jiangsu Institute, and the General Institute of Geological Survey, together with personnel from the Planning and Development Department, attended the signing ceremony.
