From May 20 to May 22, the Safety and Environmental Protection Team of the China National Coal Administration conducted a safety and environmental inspection at the construction site of the Muli Ecological Restoration Project (Section I), focusing on the soil-covering, grass-planting, and revegetation works.

The Safety and Environmental Protection Team inspected the project’s construction site and reviewed its internal safety documentation, expressing high praise for the project department’s safety and environmental management efforts. At the same time, they put forward five specific requirements addressing the project’s weak links and salient issues in production safety: first, strengthen traffic safety management; second, enhance safety management of temporary electrical systems; third, reinforce environmental protection measures throughout the construction process; fourth, improve on-site emergency response capabilities; and fifth, ensure comprehensive health care and epidemic prevention measures for personnel working at high altitudes.

Following the inspection, a safety and environmental protection symposium was held to discuss ways to elevate the overall level of safety and environmental management and to address existing challenges in safety and environmental oversight. Participants from the project team pledged to fulfill their duties conscientiously, firmly uphold the principle that “there are no small matters in workplace safety,” and, with greater determination, more robust measures, and a pragmatic approach, ensure the smooth progress of construction—thus marking the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
