Hou Shenjian, President of the Coal Geology Branch of the China National Coal Association, and his delegation paid a visit to our institute for a research symposium.


On June 4, Hou Shenjian, President of the Coal Geology Branch of the China National Coal Association, and Secretary-General Chen Ming visited our institute to conduct a research and exchange on issues such as the corporatization reform and transformational development of geological exploration enterprises. Liu Xingwang, General Manager of our Group (Bureau), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director, accompanied the delegation during the visit.

At the symposium, Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our institute, Diao Haizhong, extended a warm welcome to Hou Shenjian and his delegation, expressing his gratitude for the Coal Geology Branch’s longstanding care and support for our institute’s work. Subsequently, Diao Haizhong provided an overview of the institute’s basic profile, covering its historical development, qualification accreditation, institutional reforms, and industrial growth. He also highlighted the institute’s strategic vision for the 14th Five-Year Plan period and reported on the progress of key initiatives.

After listening to a report on our institute’s work and engaging in exchanges with the participants, Hou Shenjian fully commended the efforts our institute has made in deepening reform and pursuing transformative development, and offered guiding recommendations in light of evolving industry trends. He also expressed the hope that, going forward, our institute will actively participate in association activities, contribute constructive ideas and proposals, and help foster the association’s continued growth.
