Recently, the “On-site Exchange Meeting on Party Building and Ideological-Political Work in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry, together with the Fifth Session of the Seventh Council of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau Research Association,” jointly hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and the China Chemical Workers’ Ideological and Political Work Research Association, was solemnly held in Zhijiang, Hubei. Six units—the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau and its affiliated Geological Research Institute, Henan Bureau, Shandong Institute, Hubei Institute, and Hunan Institute—were awarded the title of “Advanced Unit in Party Building and Ideological-Political Work in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry.” Wang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Group (Bureau) Party Committee, and Yang Huaizhou, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Zhejiang Institute, were each honored with the title of “Outstanding Ideological and Political Worker in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry.”

This conference was held under the theme “Celebrating the Centenary of the CPC, Drawing Strength to Forge Ahead, and Providing Strong Assurance for Building China into a Powerful Nation in the Petroleum and Chemical Industries.” More than 200 delegates attended, including Party secretaries from enterprises and institutions in the petroleum and chemical sectors, heads of departments responsible for Party building and ideological‑political work, representatives of political‑work cadres, and delegates from member units of the China National Chemical Industry Association’s Political Research Council. The conference holds significant and far‑reaching importance for advancing the in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era within the petroleum and chemical industries, for deepening Party history education, and for, at this new starting point, comprehensively opening up a new chapter in Party building, ideological‑political work, and cultural development in the sector in the new era.
