On June 25, at the Party History Knowledge Competition hosted by the China National Bureau of Coal Geology, our bureau’s team distinguished itself among all participating teams with a solid theoretical foundation and a calm, well‑thought‑out strategy, ultimately clinching the championship.

This competition was themed “Recalling a Century of Party History, Passing on the Red Gene, and Building a World-Class Enterprise Group for Geological and Ecological Civilization Development.” In the final round, teams from nine units within the General Administration system took part. Zhang Tiejia, Deputy Head of the Tenth Guidance Group of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission for Party‑Study Education in Central Enterprises, attended to provide guidance and deliver remarks, while senior leaders of the General Administration and Beijing‑based units observed the event on site.

The entire competition was exceptionally intense and thrilling, featuring multiple rounds of mandatory questions, buzzer‑style challenges, and risk‑based questions, as well as a variety of question types—including fill‑in‑the‑blank, single‑choice, multiple‑choice, true/false, and short‑answer items—providing a comprehensive assessment of participants’ knowledge in Party history, the history of New China, the history of reform and opening up, the history of socialist development, the Party’s fundamental theories and innovative achievements, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the development history of the China National Coal Administration. The Group (Administration) Party Committee attached great importance to this competition, viewing the effective organization of participation as a key means of deepening and solidifying Party‑study education. The Party Committee offered guidance and encouragement on numerous occasions and provided strong support for preparation. Since the preliminary round began, the Publicity Department and the Organization Department of the Party Committee meticulously prepared, swiftly selected and assembled the Sinochem Mingda team. Following intensive, concentrated training and several rounds of rigorous mock assessments, the Sinochem Mingda team—comprising Zhang Wenqi from the Fujian Institute, Zheng Zhaoyu from the Geological Research Institute, Chen Jue from the Hunan Institute, Wang Shuai from the Shandong Institute, and Chen Mian from the Hunan Institute—delivered an outstanding performance, demonstrating both a solid grasp of Party history and excellent overall competence.

Securing first place this time is a powerful testament to the effectiveness of our bureau’s Party‑history study and education efforts, and it serves as a tremendous source of encouragement for all Party members as they delve into the century‑long history of the Party. Sinochem Mingda will continue to unite and rally its vast ranks of cadres and employees, draw strength from Party history, grasp the overarching trends and shoulder our great responsibilities, and actively engage in the high‑quality development initiatives of the 14th Five‑Year Plan and the noble journey of building a leading group in resource development and ecological conservation, thereby marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.
