Recently, the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission issued the “Decision of the SASAC Party Committee on Commending Outstanding Communist Party Members, Outstanding Party Affairs Workers, and Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations of Central Enterprises.” Gu Qiang, Director of the Geological Research Institute and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau, was awarded the honorary title of “Outstanding Communist Party Member of Central Enterprises.”
Comrade Gu Qiang has consistently upheld Party principles as his guiding standard and political responsibility as his mission, continuously strengthening his capabilities in ideology, politics, organization, and work style. He has always held himself to the rigorous standards of a Communist Party member and set an exemplary, leading example in all endeavors. Since assuming the post of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Geological Research, he has conscientiously implemented all directives on Party building. Through measures such as incentive-based approaches, reverse‑engineering methods, and performance‑based evaluations, he has effectively galvanized the initiative and enthusiasm of Party members and cadres, yielding commendable results. Under his leadership, the Institute has successively been recognized as a “Model Unit for Corporate Culture” by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, an “Advanced Unit for Party Building and Ideological‑Political Work” by the same federation, a Civilized Unit by the China National Coal Administration, and a Spiritual Civilization Unit by the China National Chemical Industry Administration. Moreover, it has successfully transitioned into a range of related fields, including environmental remediation, territorial spatial planning, comprehensive land management, and mining services, thereby achieving the Group’s (Administration’s) anticipated objectives. Particularly during the COVID‑19 pandemic, he put the collective good ahead of personal interests, took the lead in frontline efforts, and championed the most dedicated “those who go against the tide,” demonstrating through his concrete actions the sense of responsibility and commitment expected of a Communist Party member. As a result, he was honored as an “Advanced Individual in Epidemic Prevention,” and the Institute was recognized as an “Advanced Unit in Epidemic Prevention.”
Comrade Gu Qiang’s receipt of this honor serves as both encouragement and recognition for our bureau’s ideological and political work in Party building in the new era.
