The Group (Bureau) Commission for Discipline Inspection convened a meeting in the first half of 2021 to hear reports on work and integrity from the secretaries of the discipline inspection commissions of its directly affiliated units.

On the afternoon of August 24, the Group (Bureau) Commission for Discipline Inspection convened, via Enterprise WeChat, the 2021 semi-annual work report and integrity review meeting for the secretaries of discipline inspection committees of its directly affiliated units. Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Group (Bureau), attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
First, Wang Yong led the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech delivered at the rally celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Wang Yong emphasized that discipline inspection commissions at all levels must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen the “four consciousnesses,” firmly uphold the “four confidences,” and ensure “two safeguards.” They should regard studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s July 1st speech as a major political task for the present and the period ahead, thoroughly grasp the speech’s profound significance, rich connotations, core principles, and practical requirements, and effectively align their thinking and actions with its guiding principles.
The secretaries of the discipline inspection commissions from 15 directly affiliated units each delivered a work report, comprehensively outlining their units’ progress in disciplinary inspection work during the first half of 2021 and their own performance in fulfilling their duties and reporting on integrity.
Wang Yong fully commended the disciplinary inspection work of all units and conducted an in-depth analysis of the problems and shortcomings that emerged in the system’s disciplinary inspection efforts during the first half of the year, setting forth specific requirements for improvement. He emphasized that disciplinary inspection cadres at all levels must deepen their understanding and enhance their capabilities in four key areas: first, develop a fresh perspective on fulfilling their oversight responsibilities; second, adopt new measures to focus on their core duties and primary tasks; third, maintain zero tolerance in combating corruption; and fourth, achieve new progress in building and strengthening the ranks of disciplinary inspection personnel.
The meeting also conveyed the spirit of the China National Coal Administration’s second-quarter 2021 regular working conference for secretaries of discipline inspection commissions of directly affiliated units.
A total of 69 participants attended the meeting, including members of the Group (Bureau) Commission for Discipline Inspection and all staff of its disciplinary inspection bodies, as well as the secretaries, members, and dedicated discipline-inspection personnel of the discipline inspection commissions at each directly affiliated unit. Units without a dedicated discipline inspection commission were represented by their discipline-inspection staff, who attended in an observer capacity.
