On September 25, Shang Honglin, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board, and Director of the Group (Bureau), together with Ning Xiangjun, Chief Engineer of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Oceanic Bureau, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Guangxi Marine Geology Branch of Sinochem Mingda Holding Group Co., Ltd. in Nanning, Guangxi. Zhang Jianchun, Regional Operations Director of the Group (Bureau) and Party Secretary of the Guangxi Institute, presided over the unveiling ceremony.

The Guangxi Marine Geology Branch of Sinochem Mingda Holding Group Co., Ltd. (Research Center for Coastal Zone Resource Utilization and Environmental Remediation) is a subsidiary of Sinochem Mingda Holding Group Co., Ltd. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization, the branch responds to the major strategic directive of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to “uphold integrated land–sea planning and accelerate the building of a strong maritime nation,” while implementing the China National Coal Geological Bureau’s “11463” development strategy and its key initiatives to build a “Transparent Earth, Digital Earth, and Beautiful Earth.”
In the future, the Guangxi Marine Geology Branch of Sinochem Mingda Holding Group Co., Ltd. (the Coastal Zone Resources Utilization and Environmental Remediation Research Center) will be rooted in Guangxi while serving the ASEAN region. It will conduct coastal zone resource surveys and development‑utilization activities, as well as ecological environmental protection and restoration efforts, in three coastal cities—Beihai, Fangchenggang, and Qinzhou—thereby supporting the green, high‑quality development of the local economy and contributing to rural revitalization.
At the unveiling ceremony, Shang Honglin, on behalf of the General Administration, welcomed leaders including Ning Xiangjun, Chief Engineer of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Oceanic Bureau, and extended his congratulations on the establishment of Sinochem Mingda’s Guangxi Marine Geology Branch. He emphasized that the branch should fully leverage Sinochem Mingda’s strengths as a central state‑owned enterprise—its brand reputation, talent pool, professional expertise, team cohesion, and regulatory qualifications—while seizing the significant opportunities presented by the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the New Western Land–Sea Corridor, and the development of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. In doing so, it should contribute to Guangxi’s marine development and infrastructure construction, while also strengthening and expanding the Sinochem Mingda brand.

Subsequently, the Group’s (Bureau’s) leadership held a symposium with relevant officials from the Guangxi Marine Bureau and the Wuxiang New Area Bureau of Natural Resources. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on how the Guangxi Branch of Marine Geology can leverage Guangxi’s strategic location to foster the marine geology sector, thereby charting a clear course for the branch’s future development.
Leaders from the Planning and Development Division of the Guangxi Ocean Bureau, the Liangqing District Government of Nanning City, the Guangxi–Inner Mongolia Cooperation Office, and other organizations, along with Tao Qiping, Chairman of Sinochem Mingda Fund Company, as well as members of the leadership team of the Guangxi Institute and relevant leaders of Sinochem Mingda’s Guangxi Marine Geology Branch, attended the unveiling ceremony.
