Recently, Zheng Houyi, a member of the United Front of the Group (Bureau), was invited to Chengdu to attend the 19th China Western Overseas High-Tech Talent Fair and the 4th Jiusan Green Development Forum, where he delivered a keynote address.

The forum was hosted by the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society and co-organized by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Jiusan Society, and the Chongqing Municipal Committee. It focused on “Comprehensive Management and Resource Utilization of Tailings and Solid Waste in the Yangtze River Basin,” offering professional advice and recommendations to support ecological and environmental protection and high-quality development along the Yangtze Economic Belt. Shao Hong, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Executive Vice Chairperson of the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society, attended and addressed the event. Ye Min, Deputy Minister and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Tian Xiangli, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, also attended and delivered remarks.

As a representative of an industry‑leading state‑owned enterprise and a long‑time expert in mineral resources and ecological environment research, Dr. Zheng Houyi was invited to deliver a keynote address titled “Enhancing the Comprehensive Utilization of Phosphogypsum and Promoting Green Development of the Phosphate Chemical Industry along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.” In his presentation, he outlined the interplay between comprehensive solid‑waste utilization and green mining development, the current state of the phosphate chemical industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the status quo of phosphogypsum valorization, while offering several recommendations for further improving the level of phosphogypsum recycling. His remarks were both substantive and accessible, earning unanimous praise from the attending leaders and academic experts. Li Yinchang, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, along with three other experts, each delivered thematic presentations on “How to Advance the Prevention and Control of Tailings Pollution,” “Strengthening the Ecological Barrier in the Upper Reaches of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers,” and “Breaking Through Bottlenecks in Phosphogypsum Applications to Build an Ecological Health Barrier for the Yangtze River Basin,” respectively.
In recent years, our group (bureau) has proactively fulfilled its social responsibilities, taking the safeguarding of ecological and environmental safety as its mission. We have vigorously expanded our operations in areas such as green mining, comprehensive mine‑environment remediation, and ecological restoration, providing end‑to‑end green services throughout the entire lifecycle of mining projects. This forum has served as a platform for our group (bureau) to showcase the commitment of a central state‑owned enterprise and enhance the brand visibility of Mingda, while also offering the Sinochem Mingda solution to support the green development of the mining sector.
