On December 23, Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and Director of the Group (Bureau), delivered a special Party lecture at the Yunnan Institute on studying and implementing the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

Shang Honglin provided a systematic exposition and in-depth analysis of the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, addressing three key aspects: “why we study, what we should study, and how we should study.” The lecture was marked by a clear theme, focused priorities, rich content, and a well‑structured framework. It drew on vivid case studies and abundant historical materials, while maintaining both political vision and theoretical depth, thereby demonstrating strong ideological relevance, practical pertinence, and guiding value. It was a profound lesson in ideological and political education as well as a comprehensive course on Party history.

Shang Honglin emphasized three key points: First, we must regard studying and implementing the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee as a major political task for the present and the period ahead, using ideological breakthroughs to break new ground in development, addressing weaknesses to strengthen our competitive advantages, and leveraging incremental progress at the local level to drive transformative change. We should stay firmly committed to our established goals and translate in-depth study into concrete actions and tangible results. Second, we must deeply understand the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session, drawing on historical lessons while aligning them with practical work, ensuring that what we learn is effectively translated into improved performance and development outcomes, thereby contributing to building an industry‑leading group in resource development and ecological conservation. Third, we must elevate our political awareness, strengthen our political consciousness, unswervingly uphold the leadership of the Party, treat reinforcing the Party’s innovative theoretical guidance as a core responsibility, and resolutely advance along the path charted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. We must ensure that the “two upholds” are fully integrated into every aspect of our duties and responsibilities, using high‑quality Party building to propel high‑quality development, thus helping the Group (Bureau) achieve all its goals set forth in the 14th Five‑Year Plan and welcoming the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.
Liu Yanhua, Assistant to the General Manager, Deputy Chief Legal Counsel, and Director of the General Office of the Group (Bureau); Pan Weicai, Organizational Officer and Director of the Temporary Party Committee Office; along with members of the Yunnan Institute’s leadership team, mid-level cadres, and party members, attended the Party lecture.
