Exchanging Ideas, Examining Problems, and Clarifying Directions — The Party Committee of the Group (Bureau) Convenes a Democratic Life Meeting on Party History Study and Education

　　On January 25, the Party Committee of the Group (Bureau) convened a special democratic life meeting on Party history study and education. Song Junmao, head of the Second Touring Guidance Team for Party History Study and Education of the General Administration, attended the meeting and offered comments and guidance, while team member Gao Tianyang also participated. The meeting was chaired by Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and Director of the Group (Bureau).

　　The Party Committee of the Group (Bureau) attaches great importance to the special democratic life meeting on Party history study and education. It convened a special Party Committee meeting to deliberate and finalize the implementation plan, set forth clear requirements, and defined specific standards. Extensive efforts were made to solicit opinions and conduct heart-to-heart talks, with a steadfast focus on deeply studying and thoroughly understanding Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. Special study sessions were organized for the theoretical study group, laying a solid theoretical foundation and fostering ideological consensus for conducting the special democratic life meeting in a high‑quality manner.

　　At the meeting, the leadership team, closely focusing on the theme of “vigorously upholding the great spirit of Party building, adhering to and developing the Party’s century-long experience in struggle, firmly anchoring historical confidence, fulfilling our mission for the times, cultivating a deep commitment to serving the people, courageously shouldering responsibilities and taking action, and uniting and leading the people to advance along the new journey of testing,” conscientiously identified problems and probed their root causes from such perspectives as Party spirit cultivation, sense of purpose, adherence to the mass line, competence and capability, and political discipline. They conducted candid criticism and self-criticism, thereby achieving the goals of aligning thinking, strengthening unity, offering mutual reminders, reinforcing oversight, and fostering collective progress.

　　Song Junmao commented that the Party Committee of Sinochem Bureau attached great importance to this special democratic life meeting, with thorough preparations made in advance. The leading team stayed focused on the theme, rigorously addressing the key areas outlined under the “Five Areas of Leadership,” accurately identifying and substantiating existing problems, and conducting self‑criticism in a candid, sincere, and incisive manner. The mutual criticism was both principled and straightforward, while also grounded in unity and the bigger picture, fostering a positive atmosphere of open dialogue and achieving the goal of uniting through criticism and then further strengthening unity.

　　Song Junmao emphasized that we must always be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continue to build and improve a modern corporate governance system, and take “establishing Party branches at project sites, flying the Party flag on construction sites, and having Party members lead on the front lines” as our guiding framework. Focusing on the nation’s major strategic needs and aligned with the new development philosophy, we should comprehensively strengthen our capacity for scientific and technological innovation, enhance our services throughout the entire lifecycle of mining operations, and forge core competitive advantages.

　　Shang Honglin concluded by emphasizing that we must elevate political development to an even higher standard, firmly grasp the practical requirements of the “Two Establishments,” and ensure their effective implementation in concrete work. We should continue to consolidate and build upon the achievements of Party history study and education, drawing wisdom and strength from the Party’s century-long struggle, and sustain and strengthen the gains and outcomes of this endeavor. We must also enforce stricter standards in addressing identified issues, committing to immediate action and rectification, thoroughly probing the root causes, meticulously compiling issue lists, and formulating comprehensive remediation plans, thereby ensuring rigorous follow-up on problem-solving. Furthermore, we need to adopt more pragmatic measures to advance the implementation of our tasks, focusing all our efforts on the Group’s (Bureau’s) reform, development, and construction. By embracing the new development philosophy, integrating into the new development paradigm, and promoting high-quality development, we must introduce innovative, robust, and practical initiatives, making due contributions to building a leading group in resource development and ecological conservation, and welcoming the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding results.
