To promote the spirit of “humanity, universal love, and dedication,” enhance employees’ awareness of emergency first aid, equip them with essential first-aid knowledge and skills, and strengthen their ability to prevent disasters, avoid risks, and provide self‑rescue and mutual assistance in emergencies, on February 24, the Group (Bureau) Headquarters Trade Union and the Safety, Environmental Protection, and Supervision Department jointly invited the Red Cross Society of China to conduct a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training session. A total of 78 staff members from the headquarters departments of Beijing‑based units attended the training in person.
This training session was divided into two parts: theoretical instruction and hands-on practice with assessment. First-aid experts provided a detailed explanation of essential first-aid principles and demonstrated the step-by-step procedures, key techniques, and best practices for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using the automated external defibrillator (AED)—often referred to as the “life-saving device.” Under the experts’ dedicated guidance, participants quickly mastered CPR and AED use, gaining a deep understanding of the critical importance of the “golden four minutes” and the “platinum ten minutes.” Attendees at the scene unanimously remarked, “Today’s training was a rare and invaluable learning opportunity. Acquiring basic emergency‑first‑aid skills not only helps safeguard the lives of our loved ones in an emergency but also enables us to provide effective assistance to those around us when every second counts—truly meaningful.”
This compact AED is not just a “life-saving device”; it also embodies hope for life. In the near future, the Group (Bureau) headquarters will be equipped with an AED and will intensify training on its use, thereby enhancing the emergency‑response awareness and skills of all employees and elevating the Group’s (Bureau’s) overall safety management standards.
