The exploration project for the Dulangkou Iron Ore Mine in Liaocheng, Shandong Province has commenced.

To accelerate the exploration of iron‑rich deposits, in accordance with the institute’s work plan, drilling operations for the Dulongkou Iron Ore Prospecting Project in the Qihu–Yucheng National Integrated Exploration Area have recently commenced smoothly.

This project was a provincial‑level geological exploration tender funded by Shandong Province in 2021. In the second half of 2021, it completed design preparation and review, field geophysical surveys, and comprehensive laboratory interpretation, and convened experts to validate drill‑hole locations. Building on this preliminary work, the current drilling campaign aims to identify new mineralization targets at the periphery of the well‑known Dazhang Iron Ore District, thereby marking the institute’s 50th anniversary with outstanding results as a tribute to the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
