Recently, the iron‑ore exploration team of our institute operating in the Xueguantun area of Qihe County, Shandong Province, was awarded the Group (Bureau)’s 2021 “Safety Production Red Flag Team” title.
The iron‑ore exploration project in the Xueguantun area of Qihe County is a Shandong Provincial fiscal project undertaken by our institute’s Mineral Exploration Branch. The project team comprises six specialized groups—geology, hydrogeology, surveying, geophysical exploration, drilling, and finance—with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, a well‑structured organizational framework, comprehensive safety regulations, and robust basic management practices. The team consists of 17 members, all of whom have completed “three‑level” safety training and refresher courses, passed the requisite examinations, and been certified to work. They demonstrate a high level of safety awareness and competence, and rigorously adhere to industry‑specific safety rules and operating procedures.
Since its inception, the project team has consistently adhered to the principle of “safety first, prevention foremost, and comprehensive management,” with the goal of enhancing the quality of the project’s engineering. The team has rigorously implemented the spirit of relevant safety‑production documents issued by the Group (Bureau) and our institute, as well as all applicable management systems. In terms of safety construction, the project site has been developed in accordance with standardized site‑construction and safety‑production management requirements. At the entrance, prominently displayed are safety warning signs, safety slogans, and the “Seven Signs and One Diagram” (including a Site Access Notice, Project Overview Board, Personnel Position Assignment Board, Safety Production Board, Hazard Identification Board, Civilized Construction Board, Key Points for Green Exploration and Construction Board, and a Site Layout Plan). Prior to commencement, adequate and appropriate equipment, instruments, personnel, documentation, and logistical support were duly provided as required. During construction, mechanical installation and operational procedures were carried out strictly in compliance with the project design and the “Drilling Safety Production Operating Procedures.” Furthermore, the team has proactively undergone comprehensive safety‑production inspections organized by the Group (Bureau) and our institute, promptly addressing and rectifying any identified safety hazards.
In terms of daily life, the project site has provided project team members with essential, safe and hygienic living facilities. Team members look out for one another and offer mutual reminders, fostering a harmonious and secure work‑and‑living environment that safeguards their personal safety and physical well‑being.
With the care and support of the hospital leadership and the concerted efforts of the team, the annual iron‑ore survey in the Xueguantun area of Qihe County was completed on schedule and to a high standard, achieving standardized, safe, and civilized operations and maintaining a zero‑accident record.
This year, the General Administration awarded our institute’s project team the “Red Flag Team for Work Safety” honor for 2021, which serves as both encouragement and recognition of our institute’s efforts in work safety. Moving forward, all employees of our institute will cherish this honor, press ahead with renewed vigor, and continue to strive for safe, civilized, and efficient production, working diligently to accomplish all production targets set for the year.
