On April 8, Chen Weicheng, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, led a delegation to conduct a research visit to the Group (Bureau). Jiao Sen, a member of the Group (Bureau) Party Committee and Chief Engineer, and Yao Chaomei, Head of the Chief Expert Panel, attended the symposium.
Jiao Sen extended a warm welcome to Chen Weicheng and his delegation, providing a detailed overview of the Group (Bureau)’s reform achievements since the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the establishment of enterprise science and technology associations, as well as the initiatives and outcomes of its innovation-driven development efforts.
Chen Weicheng outlined the Beijing Association for Science and Technology’s general profile and highlighted its key initiatives to support enterprises, including talent recommendation, academic exchange, and science communication.
Through in-depth dialogue, the two parties have reached a meaningful consensus, and will further strengthen their ties by establishing a long-term exchange mechanism. They will engage in comprehensive cooperation in areas such as academic exchanges, talent recommendation, the development of scientific and technological platforms, and the promotion of innovation-driven growth and the commercialization of research outcomes within the group (bureau).
Relevant personnel from the Science Popularization Department of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Science Center, as well as the Geological Science and Technology Department of the Group (Bureau), the Institute of Geology, and Mingda Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
