In active response to the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, with a view to accelerating the establishment of a new development paradigm and promoting high-quality development, and to gain a comprehensive understanding of the key aspects of the Third National Soil Survey, our institute organized a video‑based training lecture on April 23–24. The lecture was chaired by Peng Mingzhang, Chief Engineer of the institute and Executive Deputy General Manager (in charge of daily operations).

Building on a comprehensive analysis of the first and second national soil surveys, this training session highlighted the objectives and significance of the third national soil survey. It provided an in-depth interpretation of the survey’s content and key technical standards, covering field sampling, laboratory testing, platform applications, and data compilation. The session also underscored the critical importance of the third national soil survey for accelerating agricultural and rural modernization, comprehensively advancing rural revitalization, and promoting ecological civilization.

Through this training, participants gained a systematic understanding of the background and objectives of the Third National Soil Survey, as well as its related policies, preparatory arrangements, implementation procedures, technical standards, and quality‑control measures, thereby laying a solid foundation for our institute to carry out soil survey work in the future, expand market opportunities, and facilitate the enterprise’s transformation and upgrading.
This training session was conducted in strict compliance with all relevant epidemic prevention and control requirements, with over 30 technical specialists from various departments in attendance.
