On June 2, our hospital convened the mobilization meeting for the 2022 “Work Safety Month” campaign. The meeting was chaired by Sun Xinyong, a member of the Party Committee and the hospital’s vice president, and was attended by more than 30 participants, including hospital leaders, heads of various departments, and members of the hospital’s Work Safety Committee.
Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, read out the relevant commendation decisions issued by China Coal and the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau regarding work on production safety. Zhang Shuqi, a member of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Chief Safety Officer, conveyed the spirit of the “2022 Production Safety Month” Activity Plan of the Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau, and made arrangements and deployments for the next phase of production safety work.
Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng delivered a mobilization speech on the theme of the 2022 “Safety Production Month” campaign: “Comply with the Safety Production Law and Fulfill the Duties of the Primary Person in Charge.” He emphasized that the “Safety Production Month” activities must be carried out in a solid and effective manner, leveraging the series of events to comprehensively enhance safety awareness across the board, further strengthen our institute’s safety and environmental management, and ensure the continued safe and orderly progress of all operations. All departments are urged to convey the spirit and requirements of the meeting to their staff, ensuring that safety principles remain firmly embedded and safe practices become habitual. It is essential to coordinate economic development, epidemic prevention and control, and workplace safety, fostering unity and concerted efforts throughout the institute to create a favorable safety‑production environment in preparation for the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Following this, the institute’s leadership presented each department head with a “gift package” containing educational materials on safety, encouraging all employees to seize the opportunity of the “Safety Production Month” to deepen their learning and firmly master relevant knowledge and skills in workplace safety.
At the meeting, our institute also invited Yan Hongjun—member of the Shandong Provincial Emergency Management Department’s Safety Production Expert Education and Training Group, a safety production expert in Jinan, and a specially appointed instructor in the Safety Engineering program at Shandong University—to deliver a live lecture. He conducted a specialized training session on the “Safety Production Law and Regulations,” during which participants engaged in an in-depth study of the Safety Production Law, the Shandong Province Safety Production Regulations, and other relevant laws and regulations, drawing on typical accident case studies. This effort further strengthened the awareness of leaders at all levels regarding the implementation of safety‑production laws and regulations, deepened their understanding of their respective duties and responsibilities in this area, and laid a solid foundation for more effective safety‑production work going forward.
Recently, the Institute’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department will actively implement the activity plan, making full use of banners, slogans, notice boards, official WeChat accounts, creative promotional gifts, and newsletters to organize a variety of educational and awareness-raising initiatives, thereby fostering a positive atmosphere for our institute’s “Safety Production Month” campaign.
