[Doing Practical Things, Bringing Coolness] Prior to the Dragon Boat Festival, hospital leaders visited project sites to extend their condolences and show care to employees.

On May 31, temperatures had reached their highest level since the start of summer. As the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival approached, a delegation led by Sun Xinyong, Vice President and Deputy General Manager of our institute, Jia Ruifeng, Chairman of the Trade Union, and Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), visited the project site for the Shandong Province Geological Disaster Risk Survey (Boshan Section), undertaken by the Resources and Environment (Geological Disaster) Branch Institute. They paid a courtesy call on the staff working on the front lines, marking the first stop in this year’s “Summer Coolness Delivery” grassroots outreach initiative organized by the institute’s trade union.

The hospital leadership visited the project site, delivering care packages—including herbal tea, fruit, and zongzi—along with monetary condolences to the workers. They expressed their sympathy and gratitude to those laboring on the front lines in the sweltering heat, while reminding them to always adhere to safety protocols during high-temperature conditions to prevent accidents and heat-related illnesses. Liu Jianwen inspected on-site labor protection measures, construction safety, and heat‑prevention and cooling procedures, and issued directives for addressing identified safety hazards.

Our institute has taken concrete actions to deliver cooling relief, offer condolences, and ensure safety, demonstrating care and concern for frontline workers and effectively safeguarding their health and safety. As a result, project team members have genuinely felt the warmth and support of the organization, enhancing their sense of well-being and belonging, and inspiring them to redouble their efforts and enthusiasm in their work on the front lines.
