Our hospital organized first-aid training and emergency response drills at construction sites.

On the morning of June 21, Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of our institute, together with Zhang Shuqi, Member of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Chief Safety Officer, led a team to three construction sites: the No. 19 and No. 20 salt wells projects undertaken by the Yanjing Branch of China National Salt Industry Corporation’s Changjiang Salt Chemical Co., Ltd., and the project to add a new pair of salt wells at the Shuanghuan Company’s salt‑making plant. They conducted safety inspections and extended words of encouragement to the workers. The institute’s leadership commended the progress of the projects and the frontline staff’s spirit of perseverance in enduring extreme heat, while emphasizing the need to strengthen precautions against heatstroke, temperature reduction measures, and protection from severe weather such as thunderstorms, ensuring the safety of all personnel.

In accordance with the hospital’s plan for Safety Production Month, on the morning of June 22, our hospital invited Dr. Song Xia and Dr. Zhang Siyao, physicians from the ICU Emergency Department of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Yingcheng City, Hubei Province, to conduct on-site first-aid training at the construction site. The two medical professionals demonstrated proper techniques for transporting injured personnel, applying dressings, and performing hands‑only cardiopulmonary resuscitation under various scenarios. Following the training and hands‑on practice by the staff, all members of the project team have mastered on‑site emergency first‑aid procedures, thereby enhancing their capacity for responding to emergencies at the worksite.

The Hospital’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department also organized all 20 personnel from the three construction sites of the Yanjing Branch to conduct emergency drills at the No. 19 Salt Well construction site of China National Salt Industry Corporation Changjiang Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. The drills covered scenarios such as accidental injuries, electric shock incidents, fire suppression, and flood control. Yang Cheng and Zhang Shuqi attended the exercises and provided on-site feedback on their effectiveness. Through this training and these drills, employees’ self‑rescue and mutual‑assistance capabilities were enhanced, further improving on‑site personnel’s emergency response skills and their ability to carry out scientific rescue operations.

Yao Tongliang, Chief Engineer of the project owner, Zhongyan Changjiang Salt Chemical Co., Ltd., along with heads of relevant safety departments, jointly participated in this training and drill, and commended the event’s organizational standards and the effectiveness of the exercise.
