On June 29, Hu Jie, Deputy Director of the National Institute for Disaster Prevention under the Ministry of Emergency Management, led a delegation to our institute for a fact-finding visit and to provide guidance. Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our institute, along with Party Committee members and Vice Presidents Zhang Shuqi and Sun Xinyong, attended the symposium.
Wang Qingfeng extended a warm welcome to Hu Jie and his delegation, providing an overview of the institute’s basic profile—including its historical development, organizational structure, qualifications and capabilities, and industrial sectors. He highlighted how, in recent years, the institute has leveraged its specialized technical expertise to actively engage in disaster prevention and relief efforts, as well as geological hazard restoration and remediation projects; successfully completed the rescue operation at the Xixia Hushan Gold Mine; and dispatched outstanding staff members to relevant ministries and commissions for training and professional development.
Hu Jie provided an overview of the National Institute for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, expressing gratitude for the institute’s longstanding support of the relevant departments within the Ministry of Emergency Management. He commended the institute for fulfilling its responsibilities as a central state-owned enterprise by actively participating in local geological hazard mitigation and emergency rescue efforts, and encouraged it to continuously enhance its technological innovation capabilities, thereby making new and greater contributions to geological hazard prevention and control and to the building of an ecological civilization. The leaders in attendance also engaged in in-depth discussions on geological hazard prevention, geological disaster response, and flood‑control and drought‑relief measures, laying a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation.
