[Summer Cooling Relief] Frontline Workers Receive Another “Safety and Cooling Gift Pack”

The relentless heat of recent days has been putting frontline field workers to the test, while also keeping the hospital’s leadership deeply concerned at every moment.
To ensure effective heat‑prevention and cooling measures and to promote workplace safety, our hospital’s leadership recently visited project sites in Hubei and Zhangqiu, delivering “safety and cooling gift packages”—a tangible expression of our institution’s heartfelt care—to frontline workers.
Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection; Zhang Shuqi, Member of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Chief Safety Officer; Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), along with other members of the delegation, visited three construction sites: the No. 19 and No. 20 salt wells at Zhongyan Changjiang Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. in Yingcheng City, Xiaogan, Hubei Province, as well as the new pair of salt wells under construction at the salt‑making branch plant of Shuanghuan Company. On behalf of Comrade Jia Ruifeng, Chairman of the Institute’s Trade Union, Yang Cheng and Zhang Shuqi paid tribute to the project team members who continue to work tirelessly on the front lines despite the sweltering summer heat, delivering daily necessities and heat‑relief supplies. They also conducted a thorough review of the projects’ progress, commended the standardized construction efforts at the sites, and set higher standards for safety and quality. To strengthen grassroots Party building, promote the deep integration of Party building with business operations, and leverage Party leadership to drive project production, Yang Cheng delivered a special Party lecture on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee at the site. All members and active candidates of the Fourth Party Branch attended the lecture, which was held in a hybrid online–offline format.
On June 30, a delegation including Sun Xinyong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President; Jia Ruifeng, Chairman of the Trade Union; Qiu Guanghui, Assistant to the President and Director of the Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Institute; and Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), visited the construction site of the “Shallow Geothermal Energy Survey and Heating Pilot Project for Poverty Alleviation and Relocation in the Yellow River Floodplain Area (Zhangqiu District), Jinan City,” implemented by our institute’s Hydrogeology and Environmental Division. They extended their greetings and condolences to frontline workers and conducted a safety inspection.
The institute’s trade union delivered heat‑relief supplies to frontline employees, bringing coolness and care straight to their hearts on these sweltering summer days. The Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department) presented safety‑related condolence payments to project team members and conducted a safety inspection of the construction site. While commending the site’s efforts in ensuring safe production, the department also put forward more specific and stringent safety requirements tailored to the project’s characteristics, urging staff to rigorously strengthen safety measures—while maintaining both project progress and quality—to guarantee safe operations.
The heartfelt care and condolences extended by the institute’s leadership have allowed frontline employees to feel the warmth of the Shandong Institute family, greatly boosting morale. All staff members pledged to stay firmly focused on the annual goals, proactively overcome challenges, and maintain rigorous training throughout the year—intensifying efforts during the sweltering summer months and the coldest days of winter—while fulfilling their duties with dedication and working in unison. They are committed to ensuring safe production and the smooth implementation of projects, delivering all tasks on time and to the highest standards, and contributing wholeheartedly to the continued growth and development of the Shandong Institute.
