On August 9, Liu Xingwang, General Manager of the Group (Bureau), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the People’s Government of Suzhou City. During the meeting, he engaged in in-depth discussions with Wu Xufeng, Vice Mayor of Suzhou City, on topics including ecological restoration of abandoned mines, comprehensive land‑use improvement across the entire region, and the development of eco‑cultural tourism industries. Officials from the Suzhou Municipal Government Office, the Bureau of Natural Resources, the Transportation and Tourism Group, and other relevant departments and units attended the meeting.
Liu Xingwang outlined the Group’s (Bureau’s) historical evolution, industrial structure, and regional deployment of capabilities. He noted that Suzhou City, as an important cradle of Chu–Han culture and Huai River culture, boasts a profound historical heritage, abundant mineral resources, and superior transportation infrastructure, offering vast potential for developing eco‑tourism and cultural industries. Sinochem Mingda will leverage the talent, technological expertise, and industrial strengths of a central state‑owned enterprise to actively engage in Suzhou’s “Eco+” industrial sectors, striving to establish a model of central‑local cooperation in ecological civilization construction.
Wu Xufeng, on behalf of the Suzhou Municipal Government, extended a warm welcome to Liu Xingwang and his delegation, expressing full appreciation for the Group’s (Bureau’s) development vision and plans to pursue “ecological restoration plus cultural‑tourism industries” in several abandoned mine areas within Suzhou. Wu Xufeng stated that he hopes Sinochem Mingda will comprehensively leverage Suzhou’s unique resource endowments, fully capitalize on the strengths of a central state‑owned enterprise, and strengthen cooperation with Suzhou in such areas as integrated mine‑environment remediation, comprehensive land‑use restructuring across the entire region, and ecological‑cultural‑tourism industry planning, thereby achieving mutual benefit and shared development.
Subsequently, Liu Xingwang held discussions with Liu Songlin, Chairman of the Suzhou City Transportation and Tourism Group. Mr. Liu expressed that, as a frontline gateway for the eastern opening-up of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Suzhou City boasts strong platform advantages, a solid industrial foundation, and a favorable business environment. He voiced his hope that this exchange would foster mutual trust, fully leverage the respective strengths of both sides, and enable concerted cooperation to contribute to ecological civilization in northern Anhui.
During this period, Liu Xingwang and his delegation inspected two abandoned mines—Gaohuangshan and Xiaohuangshan—in Fuli Town, Suzhou City. They conducted on-site assessments of the surrounding geological environment and potential geological hazards, then visited the Suzhou City Urban Planning Exhibition Hall for a tour and exchange.
Yu Yuejin, Chief Investment Advisor of the Group (Bureau), along with heads of the Group’s (Bureau’s) Market Development (Rural Revitalization) Division, the Hubei Institute, the Fund Management Company, and other relevant units, as well as related colleagues, accompanied the symposium and field investigation.
