On August 12, the Group (Bureau) participated in a joint study session of the CPC Committee of the China National Bureau of Coal Geology and the Party Committees of its affiliated units, thoroughly implementing the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Ping, Secretary of the Bureau’s Party Committee and Deputy Director, with a total of 168 participants, including mid-level and senior management personnel from the Group (Bureau) and members of the leading teams of all directly affiliated units.

Comrade Xiao Xiangli, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and a member of the Party Committee of the General Administration, delivered a keynote address titled “Strengthening Awareness of Discipline and Rules and Implementing the Spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct.” Centering on the theme of “enhancing awareness of discipline and rules, clarifying responsibilities, and solidifying the bottom line,” he drew on his many years of experience to elaborate on three key aspects: understanding the current landscape of style‑building; defining the responsibilities for building a clean and honest Party, exercising full‑scale strict Party self‑governance, and governing the Party in all respects; and firmly upholding the ethical and integrity baseline. He also provided a thorough exposition and comprehensive analysis of typical problems—such as unauthorized use of public funds for meals and entertainment, illicit official travel, improper use of official vehicles, misuse of office space, formalism, and bureaucratism—illustrated with real‑world cases from within the organization. He urged all cadres and employees, especially Party members and leading officials, to strictly abide by the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision, rigorously observe discipline and rules, and consistently maintain an upright character and a conscientious work ethic, ensuring that they neither cross red lines nor overstep bottom lines.
This meeting served as a powerful wake-up call. The Party Committee of the Group (Bureau) stated that it will translate the implementation of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight‑Point Decision on Improving Party and Government Conduct into concrete, self‑driven actions, continuously strengthening its awareness of Party regulations and laws as well as its sense of red lines and bottom lines, and firmly upholding the fundamental principle of sound conduct. It will demonstrate responsibility in every word and deed, embody accountability in every post and position, enhance its capacity for resolute execution, and strive to foster a work environment characterized by integrity and uprightness, thereby contributing to the high‑quality development of the Administration’s undertakings.
