On February 17, the inaugural National Industrial Sector Employees’ Microfilm Festival concluded successfully in Beijing. This year’s Micro-Film Festival, themed “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: The Chinese Dream, the Beauty of Labor, and Striving to Usher in a New Era and a New Journey,” featured a series of engaging events, including a showcase of workers’ micro‑films, visits to local cultures and enterprises, a forum on master craftsmen of a great nation, and an awards gala for workers’ micro‑films. It has become a major cultural event tailored specifically for workers across the country’s industrial sectors. Among these, the “Moment of Glory” ceremonies—held separately for model workers, master craftsmen of a great nation, and winners of the workers’ micro‑film competition—highlighted the spirit and achievements of workers in the new era, emerging as a standout highlight of the festival and eliciting enthusiastic responses from participants nationwide.

Recommended by the General Administration’s Trade Union Sinochem Bureau’s short film “Ambitious Phosphorus Cloud” , standing out from over a thousand submissions nationwide, it was awarded First Prize 。

Set against the backdrop of the China National Geological Bureau’s Guizhou Institute of Geological Exploration’s groundbreaking achievements in deep‑level exploration at the Dongyi section of the Yangshui Phosphate Mine, the film tells the story of a new generation of geological explorers—led by Yang Guangliang, Liu Chuanbao, and others—who, nurtured by the “Three Glories” spirit of their predecessors—Chen Dailiang, Wang Huai Shan, and others—“taking pride in dedicating themselves to the geological cause, taking pride in making contributions through mineral exploration, and taking pride in striving through hardship”—have never lost sight of their mission and responsibilities. Facing solitude and monotony, they have maintained unwavering focus and professional dedication, transforming ten years of painstaking effort into an outstanding record of 800 million tons of proven reserves. Through this, they have embodied the down-to-earth, hardworking ethos, the humble and unpretentious values, the persistent perseverance, and the optimistic, open‑minded attitude that define geological explorers, vividly bringing to life the China National Coal Geological Bureau’s commitment to discovering large, high‑quality mineral deposits for the nation and its journey of relentless pursuit.
