Recently, Zhang Shuqi, a member of the institute’s Party Committee and its vice president, along with two other colleagues, traveled to the front line of the Xunjie Copper‑Polymetallic Ore Detailed Exploration Project in Changning County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, to conduct safety inspections and provide on-site guidance, while also extending warm condolences to the field personnel. Liu Jianwen, Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department, and Qiu Guanghui, Assistant to the President and Director of the Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Institute, accompanied them.
On March 6, Zhang Shuqi and his delegation arrived at the project site, where they conducted a thorough review of project progress and workplace safety conditions. They engaged in extensive discussions with the project team, emphasizing that workplace safety must adhere to the principle of “safety first, prevention foremost.” All personnel are required to conscientiously fulfill their duties; any safety hazards identified during construction and production must be addressed promptly, with designated responsible parties and specific corrective measures in place, thereby preventing workplace accidents.
On March 7, Zhang Shuqi and his delegation conducted an on-site inspection, providing field guidance on the project’s safety hazards and technical issues. They put forward corrective recommendations for identified problems, anticipated potential challenges ahead, and offered valuable suggestions. Following the inspection, they distributed condolence payments to frontline field workers, encouraging them to carry out the project safely and efficiently with full enthusiasm and a positive spirit. The institute’s leadership’s visit greatly boosted morale, and all participants pledged to rigorously uphold safety and quality standards, advance the project with high quality and efficiency, and contribute to the Shandong Institute’s drive for high‑quality development.
