The Fourth Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter party members’ meeting and the October themed Party Day event.

Recently, the Fourth Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter general meeting of party members and elected a new branch committee. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Wu Shumeng, with all members of the branch in attendance.

The meeting implemented the “First Agenda Item” system and the requirements for theoretical study under the thematic education campaign. First, Comrade Wu Shumeng led the study of selected chapters from “Xi Jinping’s Expositions on the Marxist Worldview and Methodology,” reminding all Party members to adhere to the fundamental principles of Marxism as their guiding framework and to deeply grasp the new heights of the sinicization and modernization of Marxism. Only by firmly establishing a correct worldview, outlook on life, and values can one cultivate a scientific faith, unwavering conviction, and a clear sense of direction.

Comrade Wu Shumeng, on behalf of the previous branch committee, provided a comprehensive summary of the branch’s work across all areas, covering ideological and political education for Party members, study sessions under the “Three Meetings and One Lesson” system, Party member development, and disciplinary building. He also conducted a thorough reflection on the shortcomings identified in the previous year and outlined directions for corrective measures.

In accordance with the election procedures adopted by vote, the meeting conducted a secret ballot and elected the new branch committee through a competitive process. Comrades Wu Shumeng, Li Gang, and Zhang Bingbing were elected as members of the fourth Party branch’s new committee. Comrade Wu Shumeng was appointed as the secretary of the Party branch.

Subsequently, the Fourth Party Branch, in alignment with the department’s core tasks and integrating Party building with exploration work, organized a thematic Party‑day activity for October titled “Preparation of Resource Reserve Verification Reports and Key Considerations (Solid Mineral Resources).” Comrade Hao Rui’e delivered a specialized lecture, covering the basis for preparing reserve verification reports, fundamental requirements, objectives and tasks, deposit geology, mining technical conditions and the classification of resource reserve types, reserve estimation, as well as report drafting and map preparation. The presentation systematically outlined the key points, priorities, and challenges of reserve verification work. The content was concise yet comprehensive, and all participants reported gaining substantial insights and practical benefits, which provided strong guidance for their day-to-day operations.
