Embarking on a New Journey: The Youth League Committee of the Institute Successfully Concluded Its Leadership Election

On October 26, the Third Congress of the Communist Youth League of the Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau, as well as the First Congress of the Communist Youth League of Shandong Zhonghua Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd., were held successfully. Sixteen attendees, including members of the Youth League Committee and Communist Youth League members, participated in the meetings. Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, along with some young representatives and heads of relevant functional departments, attended the meetings as observers.

The conference opened to the solemn sound of the national anthem. Yang Cheng extended his congratulations on the convening of the conference and gave full recognition to the work of the previous Youth League Committee. On behalf of the Party Committee of the Institute, he set forth the following requirements for all young members of the Youth League and the new Youth League Committee: first, keep the Party’s instructions firmly in mind, educate young people in the spirit of the Party, and steadfastly strengthen their faith; second, embrace a sense of mission, serve the overall situation, and courageously make contributions in the new era; third, govern the Youth League with strict discipline, uphold fundamental principles while fostering innovation, and rally young people to shoulder responsibilities. Yang Xiaomin, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Second Committee of the Communist Youth League of the Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau, titled “Unite Hearts and Gather Strength to Follow the Party, Forge Ahead on the New Journey, and Rally Young Members to Contribute Their Youthful Energy to Promoting High-Quality Development of the Shandong Institute.”

The conference adopted a secret ballot and a proportional representation system to elect the third-term committee of the Communist Youth League of the Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau, as well as the first-term committee of Shandong Zhonghua Geotechnical Engineering Co., Ltd.

The conference noted that, over the past five years, under the sound leadership of the Institute’s Party Committee and the Bureau (Group) Youth League Committee, and with the strong support of the Institute’s administration, the Institute’s Youth League Committee has steadfastly upheld Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implemented the spirit of the 19th and 20th National Congresses of the CPC, as well as the spirit of the 18th and 19th National Congresses of the Communist Youth League, and the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the rally marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China. Guided by these principles, the Committee has united and led the vast ranks of League members and young people to heed the Party’s call and follow its lead, taking service to the enterprise’s reform and development, support for its core tasks, and the growth and success of young people as its central mission. In doing so, it has earnestly fulfilled the responsibilities of the Youth League organization, rallied the strength of League members and young people, and actively engaged in making contributions at their posts, thereby injecting youthful energy into the Institute’s (the company’s) harmonious, stable, and high‑quality development.

The conference calls on all League members and young people to rally closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and under the correct leadership of the higher-level Youth League committee and the Party committee of the institute (company), to unite as one, work pragmatically and diligently, share a common vision and purpose, and move forward in unison. We must continue to carry forward the fine tradition of patriotism and devotion to the institute, actively integrate ourselves into the broader development of Shandong Institute, courageously shoulder the responsibilities of our times, boldly pioneer and innovate, and jointly fulfill our mission in this era. By contributing our youthful energy to the high-quality development of all aspects of Shandong Institute’s work, and with an even more spirited mindset and a more pragmatic work style, we will write an even more glorious and magnificent chapter of youth for Shandong Institute.
