On November 17, the Third Party Branch convened a general meeting of all party members, during which they conducted thematic education study sessions, listened to a Party lecture delivered by the hospital leadership, and held a themed Party Day activity titled “Making Contributions from Our Posts.” The meeting also discussed and approved the admission of Comrade Shu Guangqiang as a probationary member of the Communist Party of China. Comrade Sun Xinyong, a member of the Party Committee and vice president, attended the meeting in his capacity as an ordinary party member, while Comrade Yin Xiuzhen, the Party Committee’s organizational officer, attended as an observer.
In accordance with the requirements for thematic Party lectures under the campaign on thematic education, Sun Xinyong delivered a special Party lecture titled “Uphold Firm Beliefs, Shoulder Our Mission Bravely, and Dare to Be Pioneers of the Times.” Through this lecture, all Party members gained a profound understanding that only by comprehending history can we see far ahead, and only by grasping history can we move forward with confidence. They recognized that the red regime, New China, and socialism with Chinese characteristics have been hard-won, and they were urged to strengthen their theoretical study in conjunction with the ongoing thematic education, deepen their understanding and grasp of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, further fortify their faith and convictions, and courageously shoulder the mission of our times.
Subsequently, Comrade Shu Guangqiang reported to the branch general meeting on his academic and ideological progress during the period of active candidacy, articulated his motives for joining the Party, expressed his determination to become a member of the Communist Party of China, objectively analyzed his strengths and weaknesses, and outlined the directions for future efforts. Following a secret ballot among the attending full members, the assembly unanimously agreed to admit Comrade Shu Guangqiang as a probationary member of the CPC.
In accordance with the work plan for the thematic education campaign, Comrade Yin Tiantao, the branch’s publicity officer, led a study session on the “Notice on the Implementation Plan for Giving Full Play to the Role of Grassroots Party Organizations as Strong Fortresses and That of Party Members as Pioneers and Models.” He called on all party members in the branch to actively participate in the thematic education, contribute ideas and suggestions, and make contributions in their respective posts; moreover, he urged them to take the lead in tackling urgent, difficult, dangerous, and critical tasks, thereby fully demonstrating their exemplary and pioneering roles. In conjunction with the arrangements for the thematic education’s research activities, Sun Xinyong analyzed the current situation facing both the nation and Shandong Institute, urging everyone to pool their wisdom, proactively offer advice and suggestions, and work together to advance the high-quality development of Shandong Institute.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Third Party Branch held a themed Party Day activity titled “Making Contributions from Our Posts,” during which all party members engaged in discussions and exchanges on how to better leverage the branch’s role as a fighting fortress and the exemplary, pioneering role of its members, with a focus on contributing to the Shandong Institute through their respective duties and actively offering suggestions and proposals.
Through this conference and the themed Party Day activity, the branch’s Party members have further strengthened their resolve and confidence to strive to be pioneers and role models and to make contributions in their respective posts.
