On November 22, the Party branch of the Geotechnical Engineering Company convened its fourth-quarter members’ meeting, elected a new Party branch committee, and held a thematic Party lesson on education as well as a themed Party Day activity titled “Focusing on Core Responsibilities and Making Contributions from Our Posts.”
In accordance with the Constitution of the Communist Party of China, the Regulations on Electoral Work of Primary-Level Party Organizations of the Communist Party of China, and other relevant provisions, the Party Branch of the Geotechnical Company conducted its leadership transition election. Comrade Wu Weiwai, representing the previous branch committee, presented a work report, which was duly reviewed and approved by the congress. The meeting adopted a secret ballot and a proportional‑representation electoral system to elect a new branch committee consisting of three members: Wang Yuqun, Sun Baotao, and Wu Weiwai. At the first meeting of the new branch committee, a vote was held, resulting in Comrade Wu Weiwai being elected as the branch secretary. Following consultation, Comrade Sun Baotao was appointed as the organizational committee member, and Comrade Wang Yuqun was appointed as both the publicity committee member and the discipline inspection committee member. Comrade Yin Xiuzhen, an organizer from the Institute’s Party Committee, attended the meeting in an observer capacity. The aforementioned election results shall be subject to the official approval of the Institute’s Party Committee.
In accordance with the work plan for the thematic education campaign, Comrade Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, delivered a special Party lecture titled “Promoting Comprehensive and Strict Party Governance to Foster a Clean, Upright, and Entrepreneurial Political Environment at Shandong Institute.” He also organized a focused research initiative on the topic “Harnessing the Supervisory Role of Discipline Inspection to Build an Ethical Corporate Culture and Provide Strong Support for the High-Quality Development of Shandong Institute,” thoroughly soliciting opinions and suggestions from all participants regarding the Institute’s ongoing work. Through the study of the Party lecture and the ensuing discussions, attendees agreed to integrate the lessons learned from this thematic education with their day-to-day duties, uphold the bottom line of integrity, promote a culture of honesty and uprightness, fulfill their responsibilities in their respective roles, and strive to exemplify the vanguard and model spirit expected of Party members. They pledged to safeguard the Institute’s stable and harmonious environment and make even greater contributions to its continued development.
During the Party‑day thematic session, Comrade Wang Yu Kun led the study of the “Implementation Plan on Giving Full Play to the Role of Grassroots Party Organizations as Strong Fortresses and That of Party Members as Pioneers and Models.” The newly elected branch committee pledged that, in its future Party‑building work, it would strictly adhere to the plan’s requirements, focus on its core responsibilities, strengthen grassroots Party organization building, strive to establish Party branches that are both “high‑quality” and “four‑type,” carefully develop platforms for activities, further enhance Party member education and management, fully leverage the “seven exemplary roles” of Party members, and guide them to make greater contributions from their respective posts, thereby providing robust organizational support for the high‑quality development of the Bureau (Group) and our institute.
