Our hospital held a symposium to share the findings of its thematic education research.

On December 11, our institute convened a symposium to exchange findings from the thematic education campaign on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The meeting focused on studying and applying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions, instructions, and directives on investigation and research; sharing updates on investigative work; analyzing both positive and negative case studies; and exploring measures to effectively translate research outcomes into practical applications while ensuring the continued high-quality implementation of the thematic education. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Wang Qingfeng, Party Secretary and President of the institute, and attended by Jiao Sen, Member of the Bureau (Group) Party Committee and Chief Engineer, who delivered a commentary.

At the meeting, Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, reported on the overall progress of the institute’s thematic education research. Members of the institute’s leading team then each delivered remarks, focusing on their respective research topics; they conducted in-depth analyses of both positive and negative case studies, identified problems, probed their root causes, and, drawing on practical work experience, put forward ideas and measures to address these issues. This further deepened their understanding and grasp of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions, and continued to advance the thematic education campaign in a substantive and effective manner.

Following the exchange and seminar, Jiao Sen provided commentary on the outcomes of this research‑exchange meeting, offering full recognition to our institute’s efforts in carrying out thematic education and to the outstanding interim achievements attained. Jiao Sen emphasized that this meeting should serve as an opportunity to further deepen understanding, build consensus, and clarify the approaches and measures for the next phase of work, and he put forward specific guidance in five key areas. First, It is essential to earnestly implement the Bureau (Group)’s requirements for the thematic education campaign, thoroughly study and deeply understand General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on deepening reform, and translate these into concrete guidance for advancing the Shandong Institute’s reform efforts. At the same time, we must ensure full coverage of Party members, Youth League members, and young employees in the thematic education, keep channels open for staff to offer suggestions and proposals, and integrate practical measures to address employees’ concerns into every aspect of our work. Second, We must focus on our core responsibilities and primary business, leverage scientific and technological innovation to enhance our core competitiveness, and drive the Shandong Institute to achieve greater excellence and strength. We should center on customers, markets, and projects, establish a robust system for scientific and technological innovation, increase investment in R&D, strengthen our talent pool, prioritize the commercialization of innovative成果, and deepen the integration of industry, academia, research, and application. Third is Focusing on the new round of strategic initiatives for mineral exploration breakthroughs, we will strengthen communication with local natural resources authorities, seize critical strategic opportunities, and, leveraging the Shandong Institute’s core competencies and geographic advantages, prioritize key mineral types. By proactively screening and registering projects in advance, we will strive to achieve new breakthroughs in mineral discovery. Fourth is Earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on work safety, uphold the principles of putting the people first and life above all else, and adhere to the bottom line of safe development. Fully enforce the enterprise-wide responsibility system for work safety and strengthen work safety management in a practical and effective manner. Fifth is Guided by innovation in Party building, we will strengthen the “four‑responsibility coordination” mechanism for comprehensively and strictly governing the Party, leverage the “going to the grassroots” system as a key lever to enhance the effectiveness of thematic education, and emphasize five key areas, thereby fostering deep integration between Party building and production and operations, and using high‑quality Party building to drive high‑quality development.

Wang Qingfeng delivered a concluding statement on behalf of the institute’s leadership team. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement all work directives issued by the bureau (group), earnestly translate research findings into concrete actions, and strive to deliver strong results in the second phase of the thematic education campaign. First, We will steadfastly regard investigative research as both a guiding ideology and a working methodology, integrating it into every stage of all our work on an ongoing basis. Second, We will earnestly advance the translation and application of research findings, forging a powerful synergy, concrete actions, and tangible results that drive the implementation of all tasks and the high-quality development of Shandong Institute. Third is We will institutionalize and deepen thematic education, ensuring that learning is put into practice and practice, in turn, reinforces learning, continuously addressing key issues and pressing challenges in our work, and using the Party’s theories to guide practice and advance our tasks. The effectiveness of the thematic education campaign is assessed by the sense of gain, happiness, and security felt by employees and the general public. 。
