To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on carrying forward the Lei Feng spirit, and to guide all staff members of the institute in deeply grasping the contemporary significance of Lei Feng’s ideals, the Second Party Branch, in collaboration with the Third Party Branch, the Geotechnical Engineering Company Party Branch, the Hongfa Company Party Branch, and the Institute’s Youth League Committee, recently visited the Jinan Children’s Welfare Institute. They organized a themed Party Day and Youth League Day event under the theme “Carrying Forward the Lei Feng Spirit, Caring for Children’s Growth,” bringing warmth and care to more than 300 children.

Following preliminary discussions and in response to the welfare home’s material needs, this volunteer service initiative donated items such as toilet seat covers, children’s cartoon‑themed coat hooks, Wahaha AD Calcium Milk, and other thoughtful gifts, along with essential daily supplies. Led by the facility’s director, the volunteers toured the children’s study area, living quarters, activity spaces, and other facilities, gaining insight into their daily routines, classroom activities, and overall well‑being. They also showed concern for the children’s mental health and paid close attention to their future prospects.

Through this volunteer‑service‑themed Party Day and Youth League Day event, the broader ranks of Party members, cadres, and young League members have deepened their understanding of the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era, fostering a new cultural ethos of mutual assistance, friendship, moral integrity, and goodness. Participants unanimously pledged that, in their future work, they will fully exemplify the vanguard role of Party members and young League members, extend care to children with special needs, and put the spirit of Lei Feng into practice in everyday actions, striving to become its disseminators, practitioners, and leaders in the new era.
