On July 9, the Party Committee of the institute convened the third session of its Party Discipline Study and Education Reading Class, as well as the fourth expanded meeting of the Party Committee’s Theoretical Study Center Group. Participants engaged in a集中学习 (intensive study) of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on comprehensively strengthening the Party’s disciplinary construction, and studied verbatim the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions for Managers of State-Owned Enterprises, the Provisions on Online Conduct for Members of the Communist Party of China, and the Code of Conduct on Integrity and Self-Discipline of the Communist Party of China. In-depth discussions were held around the theme “Strengthening awareness of compliance with rules and discipline, taking the lead in strict self-discipline, and safeguarding the Party’s unity and solidarity.” The meeting was chaired by Wang Qingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the institute, with participation from members of the Party Committee, relevant leaders, and secretaries of all Party branches.
The meeting provided an in-depth analysis of the background, overarching principles, types of disciplinary measures, prohibited conduct and corresponding procedures, as well as the scope of application of the Regulations on Disciplinary Measures for Managers of State-Owned Enterprises. Drawing on the practical realities of our institute’s operations, the session focused on studying the specific prohibited acts and the corresponding disciplinary provisions set forth in the Regulations, thereby guiding Party members and cadres to remain fully aware of the current situation, maintain vigilance, and strengthen, at the ideological level, their awareness of studying, understanding, clarifying, and upholding Party discipline.
The meeting emphasized that Party discipline education is an ongoing endeavor. All Party members must constantly reflect and deepen their understanding, continually learn and stay abreast of new developments, and maintain a clear and sober mind at all times. They should further enhance their comprehension and application of the “Code of Conduct for Integrity and Self‑Discipline of the Communist Party of China” and the “Regulations on Online Conduct for CPC Members,” upholding the correct political direction, public opinion guidance, and value orientation in their online activities. They must strictly observe political discipline and political norms, pay close attention to benchmarking and alignment, and use rigorous political discipline to rectify any deviations in thought or action, thereby remaining ever loyal, clean, and responsible.
The meeting emphasized that Party discipline education is a major decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and an important measure for comprehensively strengthening Party self‑discipline. It must be carried out with rigorous adherence to political principles, ensuring that all prescribed tasks—such as repeatedly studying the Regulations, delivering discipline‑related Party lectures, conducting cautionary education, and advancing rectification and remediation—are implemented thoroughly and effectively. Party discipline education should be closely integrated with the implementation of the CPC Central Committee’s major decisions and deployments, with the outcomes of study translated into concrete ideas and measures to advance work. By aligning thinking, building consensus, boosting motivation, and coordinating efforts around the year’s key tasks, we will ensure the successful completion of both Party discipline education and the central work agenda.
