On May 8, the Party Committee of the institute convened the third session of its study and education workshop on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, along with a special study meeting for the Month of Discipline and Rules Education. Members of the institute’s leadership team, senior executives, and heads of all departments attended the meeting.

The study class adheres to reading original works, studying the original texts, and comprehending the underlying principles, adopting a combination of集中学习 and individual self-study to advance theoretical learning in a tiered and categorized manner. First, it consolidates the ideological foundation by thoroughly studying “Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Discussions on Establishing and Practicing a Correct View of Performance,” “Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Discussions on Comprehensively Strengthening Party Discipline,” and “Xi Jinping’s Vivid Practices of Upholding a Correct View of Performance During His Time Working at the Local Level—Zhejiang Edition,” thereby gaining a deep understanding of the scientific essence and practical requirements of a correct view of performance. Second, it keeps pace with current developments to clarify direction, promptly conveying the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions following the explosion at a fireworks factory in Liuyang City, Changsha, Hunan Province, ensuring that thoughts and actions are aligned with the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee. Third, it enforces strict discipline and upholds bottom lines, integrating these efforts with the “Study Discipline and Law, Cultivate Reverence, and Dare to Take Responsibility” disciplinary education month activities. This includes systematic study of the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China, the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions for Managers of State-Owned Enterprises, the Code of Conduct on Integrity and Self-Discipline of the Communist Party of China, the Work Guidelines of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the China National Coal Geological Bureau on the Accurate Application of the “Four Forms,” as well as the CNCG’s plan for the disciplinary education month, thereby ensuring that Party discipline and regulations are firmly internalized and deeply understood.

During the discussion and exchange session, members of the central study group, drawing on the institute’s specific circumstances, focused on revitalizing and making effective use of existing assets such as mining rights, land, and real estate. They engaged in in-depth deliberations on asset inventory, value extraction, efficient operations, risk prevention and control, and market‑oriented operational approaches, striving to address pressing issues like asset underutilization and inefficient allocation, and seeking pragmatic, actionable measures to preserve and enhance the value of state‑owned assets. In turn, participants, in light of their respective areas of responsibility, took turns sharing their views on strengthening Party spirit, calibrating their outlook on performance, strictly observing discipline and regulations, and reinforcing safety and environmental management. They articulated their insights, identified gaps, and formulated concrete measures, thereby promoting the integration of learning and practice and further consolidating a shared understanding that a sound approach to performance should guide high‑quality development.

This reading class and thematic study session represents an important initiative to deepen theoretical grounding, strengthen disciplinary constraints, and advance the practical application of learning outcomes. The meeting emphasized that all staff across the institute should take this reading class as a new starting point, earnestly translating their learning into concrete actions to revitalize existing assets, prevent and defuse risks, and ensure the preservation and appreciation of state‑owned assets. By delivering tangible results through dedicated work, they will demonstrate the effectiveness of their education and training, thereby injecting strong momentum into the high‑quality development of Shandong Institute.

That morning, the principal officials of the institute’s Party Committee delivered a special Party lecture titled “Cultivating and Practicing a Correct View of Political Achievement Through In-depth Study and Earnest Implementation, and Driving High-Quality Development of Shandong Institute with Concrete Actions and Results.” The lecture was addressed to heads of all departments, secretaries and members of branch committees, as well as employee representatives. During the session, the Party Committee outlined and emphasized its six key “1” initiatives, setting forth specific requirements focused on strengthening market development and customer relations, reviewing progress toward the institute’s overall business objectives, optimizing human resource allocation, and promoting cost reduction and efficiency gains—thereby providing clear direction and pinpointing priority areas for deepening and solidifying the study-and-education campaign.
