Notice on the Collection of Institutional Historical Materials

To all units affiliated with the institute and all employees:
In order to authentically document our institute’s ongoing journey of growth and development, vividly showcase its brilliant achievements, comprehensively highlight the outstanding individuals and events of each historical period, further carry forward our fine traditions, inspire all staff to build on past successes and forge ahead with renewed vigor, and strengthen our institutional culture, we plan, in accordance with the requirements of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau’s compilation of the “History of the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau” and our institute’s compilation of the “Shandong Geological Exploration Institute of China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau Chronicle,” to solicit from all current and retired employees materials related to our institute’s history.
The solicited materials are divided into 3 parts:
1. History of the Organization: Employing a factual, documentary approach, this section chronicles the organization’s development since its establishment, with particular emphasis on significant historical events, notable achievements (including awards at or above the provincial and ministerial levels), major engineering projects, and prominent individuals.
2. Essay Submission: There are no restrictions on genre—submissions may take the form of news reports, memoirs, reflections, or literary nonfiction, poetry, prose, and more. Using concrete examples and vivid language, explore the dynamic trajectory of the thriving development of chemical‑geological and mining endeavors since the institute’s founding, from multiple perspectives and angles, and comprehensively showcase the spirit and character of the professionals in China National Chemical Geological Corps. Submissions should be no longer than 3,000 words.
3. Old photographs and photographic works: Photos that document significant events, pivotal moments, and important figures in the history of our institute; documentary images capturing the evolution of chemical engineering, geology, and mining, as well as scenes from daily work. Photos must be authentic, and may be either black-and-white or color. Each photograph must be accompanied by a brief caption, including the subject, a concise description of the main content, the date and location of the shoot, the names of individuals depicted, and the source of the image. All submissions must clearly indicate the author’s name, address, and contact telephone number, and be submitted to the Institute Chronicle Editorial Office by April 20. Selected works will receive awards of varying degrees.
